I haven't watched Payback yet so I've avoided reading about that. I just want to say...
I'm really bummed out right now. Just like that, 2 of my 3 favorite wrestlers are gone. Wade Barrett was expected, as the rumor was that he was leaving anyway. And Sandow, I guess it isn't really a surprise, given that they haven't been using him the right way whatsoever. But it's still a really shitty decision. Here's a guy who was more over than almost everybody on the main roster. That's despite them almost never using him on TV, and him probably not having gotten a win in a year. Yet every time you saw him, he got a huge ovation and people would chant, "We Want Sandow!" A guy who took several shit gimmicks and made them into gold. They just never pulled the trigger on him. Sandow could have made them boatloads of money and they never wanted it for whatever reason. Then you have Barrett, a guy who had it all in my opinion. Big guy, in great shape, with an awesome voice and amazing on the mic. Had a lot of charisma and was pretty good in the ring as well. Just like Sandow, got buried by Cena but had several opportunities to come back. But he was plagued by injuries and they made him lose a ton of matches even when he was the IC champ. Again like Sandow, was someone who was punished every time he managed to get a gimmick over (like the Bad News podium). I'm not sure if this is as bad as when two thirds of 3MB got fired, but it's pretty bad. |

I'm not sad to see A-Ry go. Him saying that he'd get the date of AJ Lee's retirement tattooed on the back of his neck and shitting on Balor cemented him as a fucking asshole in my eyes.

Wade Barrett's release is disappointing but expected. Don't think Randy Orton is going anywhere. At least that's my hunch.
I won't be shedding tears over Ryback's anticipated release though. I've never really liked him much. Disliked him more so after listening to that CM Punk podcast. Quote:

When I saw a lot of new posts here (rare lol) and I knew there were going to be releases, somebody over had to have been released. I don't understand why they would release Sandow though. I think it's his third time getting released though. I think he got released twice when he was a nobody trying to make it so it's probably twice as worse now or maybe not. He's probably been politicized by Vince and his cronies and maybe HHH. The rest, sure, since Barrett wanted to leave and the others are either gone or nobody. Cornette is more or less spot on, lets bring more crap in instead essentially.

Didn't Orton reach three violations yet still remained hired... He's got a job for life. Fans should protest and boycott watching Raw this Monday and really give it that record low rating it's been begging for lately. They take from us then we should take from them. No good reason to remove Sandow at all. Now Jack Swagger or David Otunga... that's a different story. Here's a great meme that cheered me up lol. |

Haha I love it. Anyway, on topic WHAT THE FUCK. Barrett and Sandow had the worst gimmicks ever and still made it work. Give them a booking not a fucking release. Barrett needed an aggressive role same with Sandow. Barrett, Sandow > Baron Corbin js.

Ryback's not so bad. I don't find him enthralling to watch in the ring, but I do find him entertaining in short bursts. Plus, knowing what a dick Punk is, and knowing he hates Ryback, I'm sure he embellishes a lot. Also, Ryback is the one speaking out for lower card guys wanting them to get the same pay as the stars. Maybe his motivation is to help himself, but it's still a good cause. Quote:
I'd love if that happened, but knowing Vince it wouldn't change anything. "Why are the ratings so low? We must not be giving them enough Roman Reigns! Put him in 4 segments next week!" I think Otunga is part of their legal department, plus he's married to Jennifer Hudson. Swagger... yeah, he should have been way before Sandow on the list of cuts. |
