I agree losing Rose sucks, but in the grand scheme he was the least important member of the Outcasts. Hopefully when this blows over he'll be back in his same spot. And I'm with you, I actually like the Ascension and the cosmic wasteland had a lot of potential. So did Stardust and Barrett. Seems like they put a quick end to anything that might gain Stardust momentum, sadly. Dude it was clear he just made a typo, it's no big deal. That's why I thanked his post. No disrespect meant to Chyna. Why would you jump to conclusions about disrespecting the dead? |

Let me apologize in advance for interrupting the conversation of knowledgeable people. I recently saw a WWE show for the first time in approximately 15 years, got interested and looked up some 'newer' videos on youtube and found it to be quite different from what I think wrestling was when I followed more closely (which was as a teenager, lost interest when WCW disappeared). What struck me most was the kind of finishing moves I saw. There was a 'Phenomenal Forearm' or something, a 'Bro Kick' and some kind of Superman Punch, which I found rather boring. Didn't see any finishing move that got me really excited (disclaimer: was a fan of Bill Goldberg, liked Billy Kidman's moves) and kind of anticlimatic. Also, didn't find too many high flyers. My question would be if wrestling has changed that much or if I just didn't watch the right videos? Any suggestions for exciting wrestlers to watch, or at least moves that get the crowd going?
Also, couldn't really find a younger westler that looked like a future superstar. One guy, Apollo Crews, looked athletic in the fight I saw and did some fun things, but after checking here, he doesn't seem to be well liked. Didn't like Baron Corbin, he looked raw and sluggish to me. So, is it worth it to get involved again or is WWE (RAW and Smackdown are the only shows I can watch on TV) as dull as it appeared to be and a waste of time? Any feedback is appreciated, thanks. |

Still all hope is not lost. Here are some names to look out for... Seth Rollins (former United States and WWE champion) New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E) Sami Zayn (could be the next Daniel Bryan) Kevin Owens (beat John Cena clean in his RAW debut match) Finn Balor (NXT champion) Damien Sandow (he deserves better) Dean Ambrose Former TNA stars are making a comeback as well AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, and Bobby Roode just to name a few.

If you want high flying, see if you get the El Ray network for Lucha Underground. It's lucha libre, so high flying is basically mandatory even with the big dudes who really shouldn't be able pull off those moves.

Will check on the names you mentioned and give WWE a chance. As far as Lucha Underground, that sounds like fun, always liked the Mexicans in WCW. Sadly, there is exactly zero chance I'll get to see El Ray Network. Thanks for the answers! |

New NXT Champion
Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor to become the new WWE NXT Champion at tonight's live event in Lowell, MA. It appeared Balor was injured right before the finish but that could just be an angle.
WWE announced the following: LOWELL, Mass. — Samoa Joe defeated Finn Bálor to capture the NXT Championship at a Live Event Thursday night in Lowell, Massachusetts, WWE.com has confirmed. Joe's victory put an end to Bálor's record-breaking reign as NXT Champion. The Demon won the title on July 4, 2015, and held it for 292 days, surpassing the mark set by Neville in 2014. Now that Samoa Joe has finally snared NXT's top prize, what will the destroyer have in store for anyone who dares to step up and challenge him? How will Finn Bálor handle this setback?

Based on your preferences, in addition to those already mentioned, I'd suggest you check out: Ryback (big power guy who is similar to Goldberg in a lot of ways) Cesaro (dude is exciting, athletic, in phenomenal shape, and pound for pound the strongest wrestler around) Luke Harper (big guy, explosive, can do it all in the ring) Neville (an amazing high flyer, and very well rounded) I'd also tell you to check out NXT if you have the WWE network. It's "developmental," but much more entertaining than the main roster. Especially if you look back to around the late 2014/early 2015 era. Let's hope Balor isn't really injured because that would explain having Joe win on a house show; they might have called an audible. I hope it's a legit win though. This is one reason I like NXT. They do things that are unexpected and you don't want to miss a show, house or otherwise. |

They're teasing Styles being in cahoots with Anderson and Gallows, but I just have this feeling that they're really being led by Finn Balor. Wouldn't be surprised if they show up during the title match and mess it up for Styles. It fits with history because I believe Finn created or at the least was leading Bullet Club in New Japan before AJ was there and ended up taking over.
