A Philips Shaver 7000 series to replace my old one as the top won't sit flush to the body anymore. Still gonna keep it as a spare.

I picked up a 75gal aquarium for a French Angel that got it's ass kicked that I was able to save. I purchased her about 6mos ago and put her in my 300gal. The other fish beat the crap out of her, half of her scales were missing, one of her eyes was popped out of her head and she was 99% dead. I actually pulled her out and had her in the freezer to put her out of her misery and for some reason I felt compelled to pull her out and give 100% to save her. I put her in a 4gal container with a filter and medicated her with antibiotics for two weeks and her eye and scales healed. She's been living in a 30gal Rubbermaid container for the last 4mos and has grown to 4" and needs a new home, hence the 75gal. She will be able to stay there for about another year, then she'll need a bigger home, I'll have to find another 300gal for her. I named her Rizzo after Betty Rizzo from Grease, they are both tough as nails. I'm just filling it now with RODI water, hopefully there are no leaks!! My filter creates 90gal/day of deionized water so it will take 21 or so hours to fill. The local sporting goods store has a 12000gal aquarium, soon I will have to donate one of my 13" vlamingii tangs which is outgrowing the 300gal, I've had him for 5yrs, hate to see him move on. Dang fish |

I understand and can appreciate you were trying to put it out of its misery and end its suffering but the freezer and let it die a slow cold painful death?

I've read it is one of the humane ways to kill a badly injured fish....

okay, I can see how humane that is. I don't know if fishies are capable of dreaming but you put it in the freezer and then took it back out (well, I do give you credit for changing your mind and nursing it back to health and saving it) but that fish wil have nightmares for the rest of its life being psychologically scarred from being in the freezer. |
