This is more for a select few than the majority...

Any staff member that posts in a thread especially those that pertain to dating advice and advise in general leaves themselves open to a response that might not necessarily go their way or compliment what they say. If that response is done in a respectful way without any personal attack there is no reason why any staff member should be able to arbitrarily delete that post and give that person a ban just because they don't like what they read... the same holds true if you simply ask an innocent question on their profile

If you can give it you should be able to take it it's that simple.

Any problem one might have with a particular Staff member is best to be discussed privately, preferably. And if the problem still isn't solved, it's best to contact an Admin directly. That way we avoid unnecessary flaming between Staff and members in public, and avoid derail threads that some people might find interesting.

With that said, Staff members are not gods or supernatural entities. They're people, with their life and their problems, too, and they're definitely not "restricted" to post in ANY areas of the forums, be it GD or PATM (after all, everyone in Staff was a regular member before joining Staff).
So there's no rule or internal restriction that prevent Staff to post in whichever section they want. Of, course, if the post/content in question is "questionable" (that features prohibited content, or is a deliberate flame/attack), then you should definitely report it directly to an Admin.

As for your question regarding posts being deleted, you should contact the Staff of that section in charge and work things out with them.
No one but just Staff in charge of that section or Admins CAN move/delete posts at their own discretion.

It's been raised here several times, it's not doable as all you'd get is errors from the server load.

These 2, to a degree are 'mutually exclusive' (and again have been raised numerous times in this thread.) Shorter search terms make the results less relevant, they also produce more results which takes us back to point 1 over search wait time.

Also, how does one define 'more relevant' - under what criteria is something 'relevant'? - what one member considers relevant, another may not.

Not links. Just a suggestion. Why dont you put a dead links button on posts next to the report and rep buttons that brings stuff here or to whatever similar threads your sections have?
Someone MUST have figured out that would be more convenient and make more sense?

Copying links and hunting for the right place to put them is a pain in the backside. Making it easier for people to help out is better for everyone.

The simple answer (and it's been said a million times) is that the forum is old and we can't implement certain features because of its age.

Please put suggestions here and not in the dead link report areas. Thanks.

Sure, we can think of many ways to improve the situation, but like ViceLikeEye said, not many of them are easily implemented.

And in addition to that, the vast majority of dead links get removed from PATM (where you initially posted your ideas) because mods are working on their own accord and not because someone reported them. Reported dead links by users are always appreciated, but they are not the main source nor the only source of information on what needs to be checked.

If someone decides to not report a dead link they found, which is probably true for the vast majority of users, because they don't know better or don't care enough or the process is too complicated for them, then this is not the end of the world and will only be a very minor impact on the overall amount of removed dead links.
