I noted pimpandhost never opens any file here, be it a jpeg or gif after clicking the thumb, although the thumbs is only visible.

For gifs to work you have to use the original size and not the thumb.

Yeah because gifs don't work as thumbs so don't post the thumbs. This thumb code option doesn't work.

But this original size code option does.

i can't upload any more images because every time i try to upload i get the 'error 500' message

any idea what that is about?

Seems everyone is having problems right now. If you upload a file it goes straight into trash.

Today, for the first time, I have been unable to upload images to P&H. I tried uploading links, and also directly from my hard drive, but no joy.

So I've been using an alternative host that is very good, and that like P&H allows both direct uploads, link uploads and gives the opportunity to display the full image or a thumbnail instead.

It's called postimage. Probably P&H will sort itself out, but I recommend you give this other host a try, and added to your favourites in case yuo need an emergency alternative host.
