In Empire strikes back when Yoda said there is another, maybe he meant Baby Yoda and not Leia? Baby Yoda could be his son? Empire is 1 year before Return of the Jedi and Mandalorian is 5 years after Jedi. Baby Yoda is 50 years old in the series, 45 years old during Jedi. It can't be Rey cos episode 7 is 30 years after Jedi and she was not born during Empire.

The Mandalorian showrunner Jon Favreau clarifies what The Book of Boba Fett is

Jon Favreau is clarifying that somewhat confusing end title card from The Mandalorian season 2.

Appearing on Good Morning America on Monday, the showrunner and director explained that The Book of Boba Fett will indeed be a stand-alone spin-off series — not some sort of replacement for The Mandalorian season 3.

........"So this is actually separate from The Mandalorian season 3. But what we didn't say in that announcement is the next show coming up — what Kathy called 'the next chapter' — is going to be The Book of Boba Fett, and then we go into production right after that on The Mandalorian, back with the main character that we all know and love... pretty soon following that. There's a lot of Star Wars content coming out, I think they announced 10 projects, I think this will be 11."

This raises the possibility that The Mandalorian itself won't air until 2022.......

Maybe you need to go back and watch Return of the Jedi again. Less than five minutes after Yoda told Luke, "There is another Skywalker", the Force ghost of Ben Kenobi said, "The other he spoke of is your twin sister".

I realize that Kenobi didn't have the best record for telling Luke the truth, but in this case there's no reason to believe he was lying. And by the same token, there's no reason to believe that Yoda's mention of "another" in Empire Strikes Back referred to someone different than in Jedi.

In both cases, Yoda wasn't just saying, "There's another Force-sensitive out there besides Luke". If that were the case, he could just as likely have been referring to Ahsoka Tano, Ezra Bridger, or even Quinlan Vos. (For that matter, any one of them would've been a better option at that point than a minimally-trained Baby Yoda, anyway.)

Rather, Yoda was addressing the issue of whether anyone other than Luke could successfully confront Vader and the Emperor. And since the Emperor's defeat depended on Vader's return to the Light - driven by his paternal feelings for Luke - only Leia could have any hope of a similar victory.

And if all of that isn't enough to convince you, consider this: at the time that Empire Strikes Back was released, Baby Yoda was more than 35 years away from being so much as the glimmer of an idea in Jon Favreau's mind. Empire's script obviously intends Leia to be the "other", since she was the only other Force-sensitive known at the time.

I love the Mandalorian and tbh.... its way better then most of the movies that were released. When we saw the Jedi at the end that was a pretty cool mark out moment.

Lucasfilm fires 'The Mandalorian' star Gina Carano after offensive social media posts

(CNN) Gina Carano, who starred as the unassailable warrior Cara Dune in "The Mandalorian," won't appear in any future Star Wars projects after she shared offensive social media posts, including one that compared Nazi Germany to the current political landscape.

Lucasfilm fired Carano Wednesday, calling the social media posts she made that day "abhorrent."

"Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future," a Lucasfilm spokesperson said in a statement to Variety. "Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable."

‘Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Series Unveils Absolutely Stacked Main Cast

The Disney+ limited series starring Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen takes place 10 years after the events of “Revenge of the Sith.”


Prepare for the rematch of the millennium — Obi-Wan Kenobi will face off against Darth Vader in the upcoming Disney+ limited series following the galaxy’s most beloved jedi master.

The full cast for “Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi” was unveiled Monday, with Ewan McGregor reprising his role as the titular hero he portrayed in George Lucas’ “Star Wars” prequel trilogy. His post-Dark Side former padawan will be played once again by Hayden Christensen.

A slew of familiar faces will be joining the headliners. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is set to feature Kumail Nanjiani, who can next be seen in Marvel’s “The Eternals”; Moses Ingram, a breakout star from “The Queen’s Gambit”; and “Game of Thrones” alum Indira Varma. Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and — much to the surprise of “Uncut Gems” fans — director-turned-actor Benny Safdie have also signed on to the series.

Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse, who was most recently seen on HBO’s “The Vow,” are also returning to the franchise. They’ll presumably reprise their roles as young Owen and Beru Lars, the couple who helped raise and protect young Luke Skywalker on the planet Tatooine.

The new series will take place a decade after the “dramatic events of ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader,” according to Disney’s official synopsis.

Deborah Chow, who previously helmed two first-season episodes of “The Mandalorian,” has been tapped to direct, and writer Joby Harold is taking on the script.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi,” which is set to begin production in April, is one of 10 new “Star Wars” spin-off series Disney announced late last year as the company expands the far-away galaxy following the success of “The Mandalorian.”
