The Mallorca Files

Delicious detective drama. A 6 foot 2 male German cop resident partners a diminutive female Metropolitan Police detective exiled to Mallorca in disgrace. They have the investigative storylines of a Montalbano but the romantic pairing of early Castle episodes. I really hope they keep the series going. I'm hooked. And not just because the female Brit cop is acknowledged to be Welsh. Okay!

I had zero hopes that this show would be any good and now it is one of the few shows I actually am looking forward to each week. Excellent non-cringe acting, especially from the young cast and top sfx.

I Know What You Did Last Summer
Terrible. I had hopes that this might be entertaining, but I haven't gotten past episode one. Can't sympathize with any of the characters and the premise is ridiculous. [spoiler]She just happened to wander on the road at the exact right spot at the perfect time?[/spoiler]I'm willing to go far for "suspension of disbelief", but not this far.

Dopesick
Important subject. Show tries too hard to be relevant making it seem rather pretentious than dramatic. Rosario Dawson and Michael Keaton help to make this slow burn opioid epidemic drama watchable though.

Inside Job
Not to be confused with the Spike Lee joint.
It's a animated show on Netflix dealing with an organization that is literally behind all the biggest conspiracy theories of the world.
Not all jokes land and fans of animation will find "Inside Job" to be derivative of cultural phenomenon "Rick & Morty" and even such classics like Futurama.
I think the show still manages to create interest in its protagonists and the world they inhabit. Christian Slater is among the voice actors.

I have one question regarding The Newsroom, and I didn't want to start a new thread for it.

During Will McAvoy's 'America's not the greatest country' monologue, he looks into the audience at MacKenzie McHale and she writes 'It's not, but it could be'.

Cuts to Will and then back to the woman in the screencap below who's not MacKenzie, who is she?

Well, going through the Wonder Woman series didn't take too long. If I'm following anything right now it's The Kids in the Hall. The episodes are on YouTube. I'm leaving my tv on that most nights.

I have recently viewed Hellbound, a 6 part South Korean miniseries, that is actually so good, that it holds a rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Guardian says it wipes the floor with Squid Game (no easy feat):

Currently watching The Beatles: Get Back - an 8 hour Peter Jackson extravaganza split into three episodes.

I recommend it to all fans of The Beatles, and to all who are interested in what was one of the final moments before this iconic band broke up.

The Beatles are still as relevant today as they were all those decades ago:
