How many of you guys watched NXT Rival? Last three matches were "Holy crap". My favourite was Neville-Balor, you forget Neville size for how good he is. Thr women again prooving what they can do when they had the time. And Owens was in Brock mode and squashed Sami. NXT keeps getting better each week.
Lol at SD, Roman and Bryan burying the entire Tag team division in one night.

Veteran wrestler L@nce St0rm put together a column on Roman and the Rumble reaction. It's not a long read at all and worth it as he makes a good all round point about the W W E.
Click here to read it He was also on J!m C0rnettes podcast if anybody is interested. Only a hour long if you want to pass some time. They also do a part two next week. Either download or stream it here Reactions? I find it intriguing and it's hard to argue that W W E are blurring the lines and have shot themselves in the foot. The crowd can't boo Vince, after all he has been doing this forever, so Roman takes all the heat for it. They screwed up with Bryan and I can't see them making amends yet again one year later. But if Bryan doesn't win at Fast Lane they shoot themselves in the foot again. I can see fans giving up on him and that is even worse. I have to say I'm starting to give up and Fast Lane, if it goes shitty, could be that point. |

There's still this part of me wondering what the last month would have been like if the Rumble was in say, Atlanta or Phoenix, instead of Philly. Maybe we're having the Authority pushing Reigns to the limit and he gets 'stronger' and it builds up for a win over Brock. Of course, we may still get that after Fast Lane but by then the damage will have been done. They're in a corner after going with Reigns/Bryan and the result will get flak no matter what. It's a matter of which path; Reigns, Bryan or setup the triple gives the 'flesh wound'.
I still think they should have gone with Seth instead of Bryan at Fast Lane. It would let Reigns go over a top heel, which is Seth not either of the 40-something giants, and there's less of a 'You bastards jerked us around' reaction with Bryan compared to if/when he loses to Reigns. |

For a long time Vince had long term goals and each PPV got them to their goal (WM matches). Since Steph/HHH took over they seem to be shooting from the hip on the spur of the moment without thinking of the long term consequences down the road.
Putting 2 of their 3 top babyfaces in the same match means pissing off lots of fans. unless they plan on Reigns or Bryan turning heel it makes no sense. Making the main event at WM a triple threat makes Bryan and Reigns look weak. Its like saying neither one of you can beat Brock so we will make it a 3 way so you have a fighting chance. If they add Rollins to the mix that ties up 4 guys so less top guys to wrestle in matches. |

I actually liked the tag team turmoil. The jobber teams jobbed... Miz and Mizdow aren't really a team any more, Slater Gator never got going and same for The Matadores. Usos went about 20 minutes and weren't buried. Ascension got a dq and Kane/Show argued, again, and got beat. Bryan and Roman have this odd chemistry that worked for me. It's making me wonder what will happen. Double pinfall for a draw?
The rest of the show was utter shit apart from Paige scaring some bloke backstage who was just staring at a wall of stuff. I noticed Paige had temp tattoos on her arms on Raw but didn't on Smackdown. Just looked and it read RIP Drew McDonald... hm, must of been a friend. Link to the see the tattoo |
