Hey folks, it's been a long while since I've posted in here.

The Derrick Lewis fight a while back really bummed me out, I mean he's got to learn to fight on the ground it is after all part of the sport....A BIG Part and he's got to have more stamina too.

He's such a colorful character (no pun intended) I enjoy seeing his interviews and twitter posts.

Ohh! and Jon Jones.....he's just such a wasted talent, but it seems like no matter what he does outside the ring, there's good old (Craphead) Dana White ready to forgive him and get him back in the ring to make money for the UFC.

I'm generally a sweetheart but 2 places you don't want to fuck with me are in the cage and at a good shoe sale LOL

Do we have a female MMA fighter as a member on here?

Yep. It's a pity this thread seems to have died off over the last year or so. I's post more often if there seemed to be more interest. But part of my problem is I take a week or more to watch a full UFC event, so I have to avoid this thread for fear of spoilers.

Israel Adesanya: Jon Jones needs to ‘get his s*** together’ and fight before possible showdown

Israel Adesanya believes a fight with Jon Jones is a part of his story, one that’s inevitable. But Jones also needs to be an active fighter for that to happen, and the middleweight champ is still waiting.

“He should move up in weight first [before we fight],” Adesanya said at the press conference for his UFC 276 showdown with Jared Cannonier. “Go fight Francis [Ngannou], or even, like, I don’t know, stop being on TMZ. Get his life together.”

The crowd joined Adesanya in laughter at the obvious dig. Jones, unfortunately, has been more visible for what he’s done outside the cage than inside it. Since “Bones” last defended his light heavyweight title in February 2020 and then relinquished the belt to move up to heavyweight, there have been plenty of teases about a return and plenty of planning. A booked fight, however, has yet to materialize.

Things appear to be closer than ever to Jones returning. The light heavyweight champ said a fight with ex-heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic was targeted for UFC 276, but it was pushed back to September, presumably at UFC 279, because Miocic wanted to prepare as thoroughly as possible.

Adesanya has waited so long, he remains skeptical.

“This is facts, or am I saying anything that’s not true?” he continued. “Just get his s*** together first, like [Daniel Cormier] said, and yeah, start fighting again, because there’s no fight if someone’s not fighting.

“I’m the one fighting, I’m staying active, I moved up in weight – not just talking about it. I’m going to do it again. Cementing my own legacy. I’m just worried about me right now. That’s the thing.”

Adesanya attempts the fifth defense of his middleweight belt and the third since his ill-fated attempt to capture the light heavyweight title against then-champ Jan Blachowicz. Adesanya’s coach and UFC President Dana White have both opened the door to a return to 205 pounds, where Jones dominated for so many years.

Dominance could expedite Adesanya’s move - he is a -300 favorite to defeat Cannonier on July 2 in Las Vegas.

Good for him calling Jon Jones out. I'd personally like to see this fight and I'd like it to go for 5 rounds, where they just beat the crap out of each other. I don't care for either one of them to be sure.

Let's all hope that he's worked on his ground game!

If not then they (UFC match makers) are just using him as some sort of tester or gate guard that if you can beat him then you get to fight a with the Champ.

Some good fights.

Nice to see Johnny Walker back in the win column and with a nice RNC finish to boot.

Khamzat Chimaev - what a dick. Missing weight by 7.5 pounds to get his Diaz fight cancelled was just pathetic. Then all the roaring and shouting after he beat an unranked Kevin Holland was like listening to fingernails on a chalkboard. Great RNC though. I hate to say it, but I think this meathead will probably be the next Welterweight champ (presuming he can make weight). Come back Conor McGregor - all is forgiven.

Diaz v Ferguson was very entertaining. I like both guys a lot so it was difficult to root for either as the fight was going on.
