I appreciate the many serious and thoughtful comments; this thread should not be closed. Most ideas proposed already have been discussed by moderators, including 'allowed picture host list', new subsection for gay and bi content in SBGL section, different mix of allowed and required hosts, etc. A few good suggestions were helpful, at least in terms of better understanding the forum from your perspectives.

Please remember that Planetsuzy is a large community comprised of members with competing interests. Some post for money, some post for fun, some have premium accounts, some do not, some visit daily, some monthly, some share, some leech. We often must compromise our wants when considering the needs of others.

We carefully screen and train new moderators so that the staff is professional and courteous. Our primary objective is to be hosts, not cops. That said, moderators are human, we have good days and bad days and sometimes we make mistakes. If you feel unjustly treated, contact the moderator, odds are they will remedy the problem.

Recently, my post count passed the 3000 mark, and it made me think and reminisce about my long time as a Planet Suzy member.

Eventually, I decided to post in the Landmarks thread a comment on my passing this number.

However, as I was about to do this, I noticed my posts are now below 3000. I have no idea which of my posts have been deleted or why.

I have never posted spam or commercial messages (I HATE those who do), and everything I ever put up here has been in good faith, so I think an explanation would be nothing less than good manners.

Could it be that the links to some scenes I posted are dead? Or maybe I wrote something that is a rule violation. Either way I am none the wiser: I have learned nothing from these deletions, so what is to stop me from making the same mistake again?

So all I can do, is reiterate my wish that those who have time to erase posts, also find the time to notify and explain the how and why to the original posters.

you joined the forum in 2007, and you might of made a post in a thread that was removed from the forum more than 2 years ago? or maybe you made a post in a thread that has since been removed due to copyright complaints?

it could be a simple case that for whatever reason, these old threads have recently been deleted or completely removed from the forum, meaning anyone who had a post or posts in these threads, would of seen a few posts removed from their post count

It is possible, though no announcement has been made in this thread.

If mods have time to post in this thread, they should have time to notify members when they delete their posts.

I have been posting for over two years, but these deletions occured today.

If a post or thread is removed from the forum, it will not effect your post count, the only way your post count will decrease is if you or someone else actually deletes your post

As i mentioned, you may of once made a post in a thread or a section of the forum that has been removed, or like the politics section, it just no longer exists!

These threads may of been removed and not deleted, and have since been languishing in the trash for more than 2 years, and somebody recently decided to do a bit a spring cleaning and actually permanently deleted all of these old dead threads!

No.
If it is "practical" for mods to post here, I don't see why it isn't "practical" for them to notify posters of deleted messages.

For example: mods have access to deleted posts, yet neither you or DH appear to have looked at what posts of mine were deleted and relate the reasons here in open forum.

and I wouldn't expect the current staff to do it as well.
