I ran out of coffee filters this weekend. My Monday morning wasn't going to start off well unless I could brew up a good stout cup of coffee. So it was a necessity.

I have used paper towels before as substitute for coffee filter.

Bought some neon lights for the kitchen.

They are easy to change except someone decided to put 2 bolts on each side of the plastic cover (that is supposed to just slide off) into the light fixture.

In all the cars I’ve ever owned/driven the cruise control has been used a total of zero times. It’s not a concern of mine.

I have an older Jeep than this and it has cruise control. Many of these options just become standard equipment after a while. Weird that it doesn't state it though, especially when the AM/FM radio is still listed as an option.

You do miss those comforts when you don't have them or you have an epiphany when you realize you have them on a "new" vehicle. I also have heated side mirrors; An absolute necessity in New England. What did I do without these before?

Cruise is another option that is so nice.

The last few things I bought.... cough drops, cough syrup, etc. I'm sick. Tis the season.

PS I won't be buying another Jeep. IMO, mine wasn't very well thought out. Example; A fully loaded Jeep that doesn't have a dome light in the middle of the cabin. WTF?!? With a dark, almost black interior, good luck finding anything at night if you dropped it in the backseat or footwell area. Just simple things like that tells me the design team was asleep at the wheel.

If you're on an interstate 70mph or higher, why wouldn't you use CC - Unless you're one of those drivers that has to be going 30mph faster than everyone else, then CC is useless.

As much as I love a proper manual gearbox, I have to disagree with your statement. The truth is, the new automatic gearboxes in today's cars can shift much faster than a human being.

I think drag racing is about as stimulating as watching paint dry, but this illustrates a point. Automatics are not what they used to be....and that's a good thing.

Bingo. I just got back from a 6 hour drive awhile back and I cherished my cruise control. If there aren't a lot of people on the roads and all one has to do is aim the car, I absolutely love my CC. It's brainless and saves me a leg cramp or two along the way.

It was never one of those options I'd request (or pay extra for) but nowadays I don't think you can even get a car without it now.
