Thanks for the Share Pad!
I love seeing that Tesla car with that HUGE screen for Map GPS driving. My little Masda 3 has GPS with a small 10 inch screen, at least I think it's that size. Now for my review of the recent UFC 253 Adesanya Vs Costa

Costa was no match for Adesanya, too slow, too predictable. It was obvious, that Adesanya was out to make a point after the Romero fight (which was a disaster due to Romero refusing to fight, not Adesanya's fault) and he picked apart everything Costa had to offer, destroying his front leg within the first round. The one occasion Costa had Adesanya with the back against the cage, he elected to taunt him instead of going forward - that was dumb. Other than that, I would give all the credit to the winner for the dominating result, I was highly impressed.

Yeah. Adesanya simply outclassed Costa. Beggars belief that he didn't do a single thing to mitigate those leg kicks. Not a huge Adesanya fan either - can't stand the way he talks. He's almost as bad as McGregor - but not quite. As for UFC 253 as a whole I think it was a so-so card when done and dusted. There were very few moments that made me sit up and take notice. |

Just finished watching UFC Fight Night 180 Moraes vs. Sandhagen. Go watch it if you haven't already.
Spoiler Follows WoW!! The event delivered pretty much from start to finish. Lots of technical stuff and Joaquin Buckley (WoW!! again) delivering what has got to be KO of the year so far. Absolutely spectacular. Sandhagen's KO was almost as good. The only thing missing was a couple of good submission finishes. Looking forward to seeing how Brian Ortega gets on with Chan Sung Jung this weekend, although there's a lot of names I don't recognise on the card. |

What can you say about Khabib... Best and most dominant fighter I have seen, and it is really sad that he anounced his retirement after the Gaethje fight. But the way he went out? In style, pre-fight, in-fight and post-fight. What a tremendous person and MMA-fighter. He fought Justin Gaethje on a broken foot, allegedly battled mumps in the preparation for the fight, suffered the loss of his father in July, wasn't able to train at his home gym due to travel restriction and never said anything prior to the fight. And he looked absolutely fantastic in the fight. Yes, he might have lost the first round on the scorecards of 2 of the 3 judges and Gaethje early on was able to show that he could cause trouble, but after the first 3 minutes, it already started to look like Gaethje was busy running for his life rather than attacking Khabib.
Talk about absolutely going out on top! |

Wow!!! Despite his skills I've never really been a Khabib fan, but his display against Gaethje was just awesome. Total pressure from the first second, Justin looked overwhelmed. Spectacular submission in the end. Too bad he's retiring. But you never know - maybe his Mom will relent after a while.
Two of the best fights were on the Early Prelims imo. Joel Alvarez executing a wonderful ground game, and Miranda Maverick with elbows like axes. Very impressed with both and can't wait to see them back in the octagon. |

UFC 256
Just finished watching UFC 256. One hell of a night of fights all round. Has to be up there in contention for UFC event of the year!!! Figueiredo vs. Moreno. Epic five rounds of slobber knocker of a fight. Hugely impressed by Moreno. Figueiredo walked from the cage with some difficulty. Anyway the draw was probably the right decision. Can't wait to see the re-match. Hated seeing Ferguson losing - but Oliveira just outclassed him in every department. He's a beast. Kevin Holland - he's just mad. Love watching him fight. And Cub Swanson - damn, he continues to amaze. Probably my favourite fight of the night was Chase Hooper vs. Peter Barrett. Seeing him execute two Iminari rolls and finish the second one with a heel hook submission was a thing of beauty - even more so because of the fact that he was being dominated for virtually all of the rest of the fight. The kid has skills. The only downside of the whole night was the news that McGregor is coming back in January. Uggghhhhh!!!! |
