I'm surprised so many retirees are on the list (Hogan, Flair, Sting, Austin). Just goes to show the WWE just isn't making enough new stars.

I'll see Ambrose on that list 5 years from now, maybe I'm wrong and he won't be in the company, but I see that. I wonder if this list concerns the WWE. They usually don't give a crap what they said about them, but maybe this worries them because most of the list have over 10 years in the company and the rest are either retired/part timer. I don't know how they pretend to keep the company going if they are burying their own talent. Maybe they're happy that Reigns push is working, but let's see the list
3 Total Divas 5 guys with 50+ years 3 part timers (4 if you count Triple H) 2 from the Ruthless Agression Era Then you have Punk (retired), Big Show, Steph (from the Attitude Era and even before) and from the last 5 years you only have Aj (let's face it, she's mostly there thanks to Punk), Bryan and Reigns. Something is really wrong in producing/pushing talent.

WWE are probably concerned that Roman's number has got so high. Don't be surprised if he starts losing and drops a couple hundred %

Cena stays in the same place. And lets look at it from an aesthetically pleasing standpoint. Roman Reigns is hot and John Cena is all American flat top. I'd be worried, if I was John Cena WWE have a problem pushing new stars. This is news to me. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. |

Every WWE fan knows that they had a problem pushing new stars.
I just rewatched the Raw after WM30 and I wonder how do we get here? With awful RAWs back to back. That show was probably among the best of the year (I think only WM and Summerslam are better) and shown what to expect the rest of the year. How things have change since then. Some for bad luck, some remain the same but bad booking screw the mayority of the product. No wonder why they aren't new stars.

Not to forget, a lot of other things that defy logic and common sense... ...and the so called face of the company that buries any upcoming wrestler at every single opportunity that he gets. I'm not sure if it's sad or pathetic. Maybe both but I digress. I listened to Chris Jericho's latest podcast where he had Batista as a special guest. One of the things that Batista talked about was the RAW after Wrestlemania. During part one of the podcast at around the 59 minute mark, Batista discussed the WrestleMania 30 main event and what drove him nuts with the aftermath. "This is what I was bent out of shape about," Batista said. "I loved the match. I love that we put him over in the best way possible, we threw out all the bells and whistles, everything. Even up to the point of me tapping out. "But the next night we came back and they didn't want him selling. It wasn't his fault. You know, Daniel is an incredible worker man, and knows what he's doing. But they didn't want him to come back selling. Which drove me nuts man, because we beat the hell out of the guy, the guy's being pulled off in a stretcher. He gets off the stretcher and comes back and wins, but somehow mysteriously he's all healed up the next night. That kind of stuff irks me to no end, man." Jericho said that it didn't make sense, but it's something that Vince McMahon would simply attribute to creative license. Batista called it "garbage," and noted that the art's being lost with some of those subtle touches not being there. You can check out the full interview at PodcastOne.com by clicking here. He also talks about WWE-PG and a steel cage match in 2008 with Jericho where Vince fines him $100,000 for bleeding on TV . I'm not a big fan of blood in matches myself but don't mind it in situations like steel cage matches or wherever it makes sense. Even for someone like Batista, a hundred grand is no joke.

Well, that fine confirmed that the PG Era is slowly killing the wrestling business as we know it. Damn kids, apparently they can kill, have sex and a lot of things in videogames; but if a wrestler bleed in Tv they will have scars for life.
Batista did say some interesting things in that interview and I agree in what he said abou Bryan. The guy received a Batista Bomb-RKO through a table and manage to get up and won the freaking match like if nothing happened. One other thing I will say about Dave is that he also wasn't treated right in his prime years. When I started rewatching WWE in 2006 he and Cena were the biggest stars and, because I didn't know what happened between 2002-2005, I thought they were equals, even I like the Batista matches more. I always wonder why he didn't receive the same push to be the face of the company, maybe because he was into MMA and things a little more violent that WWE didn't allow, I don't know. I hope he gets the chance of good last run like he wants, maybe a short term reign and a carrer vs carrer match against Trips in WM31, unlike Cena I think he actually likes to see other wrestlers get over (he did with Bryan and the Shield in his last run).

F'n YouTube. I listened to the rare HBK theme then ended up watching a bunch of random wrestling related stuff to do with the nWo... Just remembered HBK was apart of that for a bit... Anyway I came across this.
No doubting they must have been rather pleased with the outcome. |

I don't think he was treated unfairly. In many ways he over achieved. He was moved to Smackdown not long after winning the title, so you could say that was a demotion, but Smackdown wasn't Raw repeat like it is today. Raw was still the number one show, so you could see why John Cena was on it. He just has more appeal than Batista. Maybe not for hardened fans like you. I just remember that Batista wasn't very good. It seemed more like right place, right time with Triple H, but we will see how it goes afterwards. Looks like they had more confidence in John Cena. I don't know if it was being held back, and making Batista something he didn't want to be, while Cena was company man. I've no idea how things are decided. Cena worked. I like him now, I thought he was great in guardians of the galaxy, but I'm not going to make him out as something he wasn't back in post Triple H feud 2005-2009.He wasn't anywhere near as entertaining as he became once he turned heel. He was part of some memorable matches, of course. If we're in 2006 or 2007 and he has a good heel turn, then I might make a case for him. Unfortunately he turned right at the very end, and we only got a few months of it before he left. He says himself that he is better as a heel, so he knows what he is talking about. His comments, I do agree with what he is saying. Damn that creative license, man can win after he is shot in the chest 99 times with no armor, as long as he isn't shot in the head, right? The idea of Triple H vs Batista at Wrestlemania. Yeah, that could be a big match. |
