I've grown to accept the retirement of some porn stars already. As selfish as it sounds we'd all like to see our faves in their prime doing what they do best- but I'd much rather they retire at the top of their game as opposed to lingering around beyond their shelf life.

Like that old show business adage goes- "Always leave them wanting more"

I'd much rather remember how hot a porn star was as opposed to seeing them now beaten down with age & gravity. The ones that put on more tattoos for whatever reason just seem skanky to me. Taking on plastic surgery to shore things up generally doesn't fare well for most. The ones that constantly try to reinvent themselves as MILFs are always tricky as some do it okay at best and others should be put out to pasture.

There's a dignity to aging well and knowing when not to compete in a young person's arena. Sadly in this vain industry some of these people just don't have any other skills to see them through the twilights of their career. Being washed up by your mid-30's has got to be a kick to the ego but time and gravity doesn't slow down for anyone.

I don't actually regret the retirements of any of the greats. I mean, my all time favorite is Charmane Star and I have (almost) all of her scenes. She gave me so much enjoyment and has retired while she was still fine. She has an instagram and you can see that she is healthy and she seems happy. So I am happy for her.

What I find sad is when a new girl hits the scene and than just disappears. You have a video or a picture set of her and you just know there will never be any more.

It's tough to do at times but yeah, once the cameras stop rolling they are human beings after all. They're someone's daughter or someone's sister. They give us some pretty erotic fantasies and I'm sure they know that to a certain degree- but once away from the set, they deserve to be off the clock and not for our own selfish needs. Give them the space to bow out gracefully.
