Former WWE star Alberto Del Rio talked in-depth about the incident that led to him being fired by WWE, potentially taking legal action against WWE, and his post-WWE future in an interview on Mexico TV. Del Rio appeared in-studio on Televisa's Primero Noticias program to break down his firing and also offer his viewpoint that he was a victim of racism... The incident occurred at the Smackdown TV taping in Laredo, Tex. on August 5. Del Rio noted he confronted WWE's social media manager (Cody Barbierri) after being told of an alleged racist joke. Del Rio then struck Cody in front of a group of referees and wrestlers, including Jack Swagger. (Coincidentally at the same TV taping, the "Main Event" program featured Del Rio flipping to a babyface role opposite pro-USA Swagger to deliver a pro-Mexico promo aimed at the predominantly Hispanic audience in Laredo.) Del Rio added that WWE CEO Vince McMahon pulled him aside to note that he cannot strike employees, but he did not mention anything about a suspension or firing. Later in the week, Del Rio found out that he was suspended. Triple H then called him to tell him that he's being released, terminating his contract. After recapping the events, Del Rio talked about possibly taking legal action against WWE for what he views as unlawful termination of his contract by prohibiting him from working. Del Rio also noted that he did not plan to re-sign with WWE when his contract expired in February. Del Rio noted he was already talking with his family about whether he would continue with WWE due to the difficult schedule or try to reduce his workload to be home more. As for his future in wrestling, Del Rio noted he immediately got in touch with AAA, who booked him for Sunday's "TripleMania" show. He also said he got offers from promotions in Japan and other North American companies. Dek Rio added that he will continue going by "Alberto" since it's his real first name, but will mainly go by "El Patron" when wrestling in Mexico. |

You know my feelings on WWE booking. It's pretty much the same as all your feelings.

Reason: forgot something.
People hate John Cena and that is fine. I'm not his biggest supporter ever, but he isn't the make or break for me. He is the company guy, but if it is not him, then it is somebody else. People are going to get crushed so the top guy looks the shit. It's a different world than what I grew up with. Talent to be taken from other companies, and you get these diamonds. Now, it's pretty much, come up through the WWE system. Take INDY guys and those guys might not get the chance to be the diamond. I don't think I'm making sense here. lol Damn. I just start rambling. Diamonds. wtf. I think my point is I don't blame Cena for any other career not taking off . He didn't destroy any career. That's like saying Clark Kent ( Tom Welling) killed Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) career in Smallville, but no. Lex was written out. Clark Kent didn't have control over this. Cena is following orders. You don't like these orders? Sucks for you ( and me) but he isn't the one giving them. Anyway, right now I'm happy enough. Would I have been if Cena came out of Summerslam as champion? Not really. I think this match was for those that have no love for Cena. Me, I just appreciate what he went in there and did. Took all those suplexes and made Brock look like a real monster. That was some giving back. haha, had a thought you will all love. John Cena to beat Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. Summerslam was the event of the year for me. |

The Nexus: Could've been a great stable and should've been a great stable, but buckethead fucktard decided that he should get DDTed on concrete, pin one guy, submit the other, and prance around like nothing fucking happened within a two minute radius. Because of this, all of the wins that Cena got/gets over a younger talent that NEEDED the win comes under suspect.
Damien Sandow: I think that he could've taken Del Rio's place as the upper card heel that flirts with the main event scene and holds the World Title, but thanks to Cena "elevating" him, he'll never be taken serious as a competitor again. Wade Barrett: Barring the injuries, he could've been and should've been a main eventer by now, but thanks to Cena, it'll never happen. Quote:

Example: Hulk Hogan made King Kong Bundy, Andre The Giant, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, and The Undertaker look like threats in the build up to his matches with them and in the matches themselves. If it was Cena in Hogan's shoes, he would crack lame and unfunny jokes/promos about: Bundy looking like Uncle Fester, Andre talking funny, Savage being beneath him (like he did with CM Punk), Warrior dressing like a little girl's bike, and Undertaker being a mascara/eyeshadow-wearing cowboy. Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, and Stone Cold Steve Austin all had two things in common. 1) When they got stale, they would change it up. Give me Shawn Michaels from 1997-1998 and Stone Cold from 2001 over Cena from any era any day. 2) They didn't win 99.9% of their feuds. Also, they all entertained me in some way or another with the two most entertaining on that list being Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels.

I definitely give Cena credit for taking that beating but it took waaay too long to finally see him put a guy over... CLEAN.

I did agree. That would have been something else. One thing I can smile at. Cena put some pressure on the STF! Not that it helped him in the end. |

lol at Stephanie trolling on the fans like that.
That was so predictable. What happened to her Batwoman costume btw? She looked good in that.
