I see no reason, to be honest, about whining about a choice some members are free to choose.
For some members sending a PM with a link is more faster than making a new post/thread.

I always did that when it came to Music, as most of the time I didn't felt like making a post, only to have it buried, after a few hours, by other new posts. No one ever complained about this.
As long as people don't SPAM or send any malicious/prohibited content to a member, we're perfectly fine with this choice.

For the rest, if people want the same content me or someone else sent via PM to a member, we will gladly post it for everyone when we have some spare time.

by that logic, why have posts at all? just change PATM to threads full of PM me for this video, PM me for that video, PM me for the other video....

and i really don't understand the need in the first place. what kind of videos are u slipping to people that u can't do in the open? saying it's a "bother" to post them is odd; there's no diff at all in the number of keystrokes, etc., between making a post and making a PM!!

obviously u have some other reason for keeping your video exchanges secret. i just can't work out what it is.

THIS + you have the 50 posts per 2 days rule, which is especially important for the content providers here (who also are the ones that answer most of these questions) and need to choose their posts wisely.

so a post which reads "check your PM (for a secret link which u and u alone may benefit from)" is counted less against said limit than a post simply GIVING the link?!

I've been the recipient of a 'check your PM' reply. It was for a post that didn't work for me for whatever reason so I asked for a re-up.

When I asked why they didn't add this to the thread the reply was 'There's already a post there so I need to check the rules.' I can't remember whether the post was later added or not. I'd already got the file so I left it to the uploader.


So: It's often quicker and easier to send a PM than to check through a thread to not break the rules.

yeah, i'm not saying there aren't special cases, but as a starting point, if the links themselves are not against the rules somehow, can everyone pls just POST them OPENLY?! to bequeath them selectively on one special party at the expense of everyone else watching the thread is just... *smh*

what if we did likewise in the "ID" threads? from now on, instead of anyone actually IDing any models, how about everyone just reply "i sent the answer via PM"?? how would that be?

all the same excuses can be applied there.
