I believe the default setting is 500MB and some posters may simply be unaware of the possibility of re-setting to 2GB as required here. In the case you mentioned it seems the poster changed the setting intentionally so they need to be reminded of the rules here.

Report any post where the links are only downloadable by premium users - by clicking on the red triangle below the poster's name.

A mod/admin should then refer the poster to the FileBoom/Keep2Share/TezFiles Download Settings post and the links should then become downloadable by free users. If the poster doesn't comply they are likely to get banned.

I've seen both results in the past when I've reported such posts.

I have even files lower than 500mb that became premium only so I guess they did it intentionally after all. I didn't even know k2s even had that options for uploders to set that stuff so I thought it was a problem with k2s.

just use report function and Mod will ban uploader ass who think to be smart

Does this also apply to single k2s/fboom links that are larger than 2gb (which are premium only, of course!)? Because I've seen a few of those recently.

Yep! - any files bigger than 2GB must be split using WinRAR or similar to allow downloading by free users.

This applies to all filehosters of course - not just K2S. Maximum file size varies according to the particular filehost.

What makes me wonder, nobody is discussing the extremely bad download rate for quite some time now on both Hosters.
Am I the only one to experience that? I'm only getting maximum rates of 150KiB/s, when before they were at upper end of my DSL speed.

I get this on my very FIRST attempt and I haven't downloaded from FBoom in days.

Download link is outdated, invalid or assigned to another IP address.
If you see this error, most likely you will need to get new download link
