The whole sod episode was a distant possibility until the HOA made it a necessity, but I do have some other things going on.

Three months ago, before the garage got too hot to think, I started a rough draft for a storage unit I wanted to build using only scrap from other projects. After several modifications and start overs, I approached a co-worker with my plan and asked about certain materials and sizes. We both decided my idea on that day was not going to work. However, soon after, I modified that idea into one that would work. I built it, but it still needed some bracing. Yesterday, while I worked on sod, my wife moved a lot of stuff in the garage so I could put the braces on the shelving unit. It is 54" x 39". I had seven of the 12 bolts; so I only had to buy five bolts to build it. It took three months, but it is done, off the list. Organizing the stuff on it will come later. |

However, last week I won a contest outright, and a couple of legal challenges to boot. |

Last night with a little help from an Italian friend who is known for synchronizing and dubbing, I was able to turn our big screen tv into a movie theatre.
Wife loved every minute of watching the boy from Memphis on the five foot screen. I even made popcorn. Sad end to the movie, but found a new skill and impressed wife. |

I have it too. Love to watch live music concerts on it. Congratulations for you and the many good times you will have in the coming years with your new TV+sound system !

Still got some time off work, working on some things around the house.
When we moved here, the dryer vent was routed to Indonesia by way of Katmandu. Several years ago, I created a post market modification to the dryer that allowed me to bypass the extended duct work. Even that modification required constant disassembly and cleaning every two to six months. Now I have modified the modification; and clean out will be a breeze. Necessity is the mother of invention. |

Still trying to unload a lot of items out of my garage.
My last sale entry was May 17. I did manage to sell a small filing cabinet. I'm listing some new items this week. |

One of the projects I wanted to accomplish in my garage was to rewire my extension cords from the two wall sockets located conveniently one right over the other in the farthest corner of the garage from the door.
I've had a piecemeal solution in place for several years, but I wanted to upgrade. I got an 85 foot extension cord free, replaced several others, and gained a socket space in the process. I still have some detail work to do, but it is in place and functional. |

Lately I've kept a project list on my closet door so I see it when I get dressed every morning.
I've got the list down from six items to eight. DOH! |
