I think they blew a great opportunity with Wade when he was briefly part of the 2-3 week Bryan-Vince angle. Once Trip & Steph took over as the evil dictators and made Orton "the face of the franchise," they could have made Wade "the future." An ode to the Evolution tagline.

Wade could have been the Authority's #2 guy. Corporate Kane can still be the elder statesman and the Shield could still be their muscles.

This Bad News gimmick is giving him air-time right now but it might also cost him air-time in the future if he's now the new Santino Marellla.

A good idea for the WWE Network would be a sit down shoot based segment similar to Shawn and Bret's DVD with Jim Ross. This one would be between Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan.

My trusty Webster's defines that word as "existing in possibility" or "capable of developing into actuality". I could agree with that, maybe, on a few guys, but none of the 3 you listed.

Why not? Because they've been around for a while now, & the top-tier talent (I love alliteration!) people keep writing they can become should at least be showing signs by now.

7C and Love Buzz basically summed up my thoughts on this, but I'll add one more thing: I feel that you have a very pessimistic way of thinking. To say that it's impossible for any of those guys to rise above the level they're currently at is absurd. Obviously they have the talent for it, WWE just needs to pull the trigger on them. Sandow for example. If he had cashed in his Money in the Bank and won, instead of lost, he'd be right in the main event picture. I was at Raw last year the night after he won the briefcase. The crowd went absolutely nuts for him. He got the biggest reaction other than Daniel Bryan. WWE should have capitalized on that.

Remember that not only Daniel Bryan, but also Steve Austin was in a situation similar to this. You have the mentality of WCW, who fired Austin because he wasn't "marketable." Austin was around the same age or older than all the guys we're talking about, and look what happened to him after that! WWE used his potential and made one of the biggest stars in history out of him. I'm not saying that all these guys will rise to Austin's level, but at least give them an opportunity to try.

Now, as for Sandow's current situation, I'm not sure how things work, but I doubt he could just go ask Vince for his gimmick back. There was probably a reason it was stripped away in the first place. The word "tested" was used, and that's probably it. They want to see how bad he wants it; if he'll stick through all the shit. I hope 7C is right and that people like him and Ziggler are getting primed for greatness in the future.

I agree, there were plenty of opportunities for them to put Wade into a new angle where he would be meaningful. Even after the debacle with the Nexus, where he really should have won the belt from Cena. He really is capable of so much more than the BNB gimmick. Hopefully he's another guy they're just biding their time with.
