The Watchmen finale last night was very good. Wish the series had lasted longer!

Remember when Tv shows lasted the entire year? A season was 24 episodes. I really am not a fan of all these abbreviated show seasons. I really don't like the 9 episodes of the Watchmen, 12 episode Doctor Who seasons. The 6 episode Game of Thrones. Mandalorian is almost over at 8 episodes.... On and on.

Today I am going to watch 7 episodes of His Dark Materials, based on the Golden Compass books. So tonight I will be able to watch the finale of season 1. Only 8 freaking episodes! Oh well.


Edit: I am sorry Next week is the finale of His Dark Materials. Just started watching episode 1, never seen it.... Tonight is ep 7, next Monday is 8....

It is very common for shows in Europe to have only 6-12 episodes. Depending on high production costs one cannot expect a large number of episodes per series/season.

I miss the old days too when we had numerous episodes per season and there was no such thing as a mid-season finale.

Well I watched 7 episodes of His Dark Materials yesterday, ready for the finale next Monday. This show is awesome! I had read one review prior to watching and the reviewer was a bit negative on the show. I don't see what the problem was. The acting, the characters, the story, high production value....awesome.

It helps that I love the story and subject. I am surprised I really haven't heard people talking about this series. It really helps that I was able to OnDemand binge watch this show. It's like I just watched a really long movie.

Episode 7 of The Mandalorian will be available tonight after midnight Pacific time instead of the usual Friday release day because of Star Wars Episode 9 hitting theaters on Friday.

Deutschland 83 is going to have two more seasons, each set with a difference span of three years – 1986 and 1989. The latter will be released in 2020, where the main topic is going to be the fall of the Berlin Wall.

1989 was quite a remarkable year because it saw demonstrations across all Communist states. The Baltic Way in the Soviet Union, the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia and so on.
