I have to include the performance from Jools' Annual Hootenany, who while still with Squeeze, made a cameo on the original US version of the song which is even more impressive than this one. According to Matt Johnson (The The frontman): Jools Holland arrived at the recording studio on a vintage Norton motorcycle in full leathers, despite the sweltering summer heat, plops down at the piano, and belts one of the best outtro/piano solos unrehearsed except for, I believe, one drop in at the end.
