Alan or 7C - can you please check and let me know if the wwe network has older episodes of raw and smackdown (2000 - present)? I am interested in subscribing only if that content is available.

They have best of Raw and best of Smackdown episodes on the schedule. That is a random episode played like every day or every couple of days, then they change. The episode playing yesterday was the episode when Vince bought WCW and Shane turned up on Nitro.

I checked Smackdown earlier and that was playing the episode when Arnie showed up (1999). You could tell Vince was getting hard when he was talking about Jamie Lee Curtis dance in True Lies.

there is a raw replays section. I think that is full shows that goes back to 2012. as for older episodes. I'm sure they will be up later on, but can't see any now, other than the 'best of Raw' episode.

its like what the guy said on that article. I type Raw in and shit loads of pages come up, but again they mainly go back to 2012. I'm not on it at the minute. Maybe if I typed in a certain segment, like CM Punk cashing in or something then it would come up.

I have to say there is not as much as I expected, but at the same time it is a new thing.

I just downloaded an old smackdown episode that was posted on the wwe network that's why I thought I'll ask. It was episode 149 dated June 26 2002. Think this is one of John Cena's early appearances and it also features skinny Jobber Orton and musclebound monster freak Batista with Reverend D'Von. I liked the Cena vs. Orton match. I'll post it if anyone is interested.



I also downloaded Wrestlemania 18. Some screenshots from Christian's backstage promo. Should make an avatar or sig from these pics . Christian had a match against DDP.

This is the most GIFs I believe for this week's JBL & Cole Show, which says how awesome it was. To specify, it was the Wade Barrett show. Before he came in and dominated the episode, Cody was bombarded with cameras and questions, when Renee Young was spying on him again.

He revealed what was in the envelope, a subpoena to appear in Wrestler's Court. The insider definition is a mock trial of wrestlers involving wrestlers over whatever bad civil act is done. I heard Undertaker and Yokozuna would be judges on that. Anyways, it's JBL & Cole Show vs. Cody Rhodes, the trial is next week. Here, Wade handed out subpoenas to what are most likely the trial members. I found a script for GIMP that made text GIF making, a lot less tedious. But it still took very long because of the lengths themselves.

Coming off the second part of Steve Austin's conversation with Regal, I would've smiled if he was singing Iron Maiden.





Goldust was marking out over a Hungry Man commercial that Booker T did 12 years ago. Booker got the words wrong, saying "whole lot of man love," making it more sexual.

An interview with Seth Rollins.

I was a little nervous to speak to Seth Rollins, because just look at him. A WWE Superstar and member of the wrestling stable The Shield, Rollins has more than once on-air been called "the Architect" and "the flag-bearer of individualism." Watch his running single leg dropkick—or better yet, his corner forearm smash—and you will begin to understand the man's appeal. There is something unhinged about him—it's there in even his most benign facial expressions. So when he gave me a call this afternoon, I didn't know what to expect. You can catch Rollins in person next Tuesday night at the Verizon Arena. Here's our conversation:

I read you grew up in Iowa, what was that like?

Iowa’s great. I grew up in a real small town here, so it’s nice, not too overcrowded. I’m in Iowa now—we’ve got a couple of days off before we hit the road, so I’m just hanging out. I wanted to be decompress with family and friends, my dog, my girlfriend. Just try and hang out and enjoy their company.

Did you always want to be a wrestler?

I was always a wrestling fan growing up and I pretty much knew this was what I was going to try to do since I was about fifteen or sixteen. My friends were all really into it at that time. Late 1990s, early 2000s, the industry was just really booming then. You had guys like The Rock, Steve Austin, all those guys.

I watched WCW a little bit but I was mostly a WWF fan. I loved Hulk Hogan. Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, The British Bulldogs, The Legion of Doom. I just resonated with those guys really well. I liked guys who thought about style. It was a cool time to be a fan, and for whatever reason I just didn’t want to do anything else after high school.

I always enjoyed wrestling as an art form, even at an early age, whether I knew it or not. The pageantry of professional wrestling. People think it’s just entertainment, but we always call it sports entertainment: it’s a welding of those two things. Until you’re on the inside of it, it’s really hard to appreciate how much actually goes into a wrestling match or a storyline, mentally and physically. There are so many elements to it as a live performance, I don’t think people really grasp how much of an art it really is. I get called "The Architect of the Shield" because I take a cerebral approach to the tactical side of what we do. I come up with the blueprints.

Were you a violent kid?

I never got in fights, I was a model student, got good grades. I wasn’t much of an extracurricular participant, I didn't play sports or anything like that. I was too busy playing around with my friends and wrestling in my back yard. But I was a good kid, I didn’t drink or smoke. Model citizen.

Did your family support you?

When I first told my family I was going to be a wrestler, they were pretty opposed to it. They wanted me to go to college. Once it started to take off and I started to do okay and travel more, I think they kind of hopped on board and saw that it was something I was going to work for. Now they come all the time.

Was the independent circuit very different from what you're doing now?

I mean I started training in a shipping warehouse, and I’m in Wrestlemania XXX this year, in front of millions of people worldwide, you know? I spent a few years cutting my teeth in the Midwest, I worked for Ring of Honor, then I went down to Florida and relearned everything there. It wasn’t different, but the crowds are bigger now. The paychecks are nicer, but that’s not really why I do it, so it doesn’t make much of a difference for me.

Getting to share the ring with guys I idolized is never going to stop being surreal for me. Getting to share the ring with guys like The Rock or The Undertaker or CM Punk or John Cena, guys I grew up watching. To have them appreciate what I do is just humbling.

The fans are awesome too. With social media now, everybody’s faceless, but I assume these kids sending me pictures of myself of Instagram are twelve, thirteen years old. But I don’t know. We’ve all got twitter handles and aliases, and so I don’t really even know what my fan base is like. But everyone’s very kind. I don’t have any crazy people or stalkers or anything like that.

Do people still ask you whether what you do is real or fake?

Fake is like the worst word you could possibly use to describe anything, you know? What are you talking about? What is fake? It’s a television show, and a live performance. Nothing’s fake about it. We’re not telling you we’re out their fighting each other. We’re going out there to entertain you. I consider myself an athlete. I train like an athlete, I eat like an athlete, I recover and get sore just like any other athlete. We’re not lying to anybody. People just don’t understand the art form of what we do. It’s a mental and physical grind. You can’t be a dolt in this industry. On the opposite end of that, you can be the smartest guy in the world and not understand what it is to have a presence on stage. Being a character, executing a live performance, understanding what it is to connect with a crowd and elicit a specific response at a specific time using moves and body language and emotions. What we do is very complex. It’s underappreciated.

How much goes work goes into a single show, like Tuesday's Smackdown?

I couldn’t even describe it to you. You think we’re just putting on a show, but it’s a full-on team effort. What we do in the ring—we’re not even the hardest workers there. There are guys working third shift just to set up the stage and clean it out and put it back on the buses and clean out the arena. Then you’ve got the production team, the stage managers. There are so many elements that go into what we do on a nightly basis.

If you’ve never been to a live WWE event, it’s pretty awesome. A few hours of action-packed family fun. Bring everybody, from your babies to your grandparents.

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will invade the Convocation Center in Jonesboro on March 9. Dolph Ziggler will be among many of the current WWE superstars appearing in Jonesboro. I had the opportunity to do a phone interview with Ziggler recently. We talked a little wrestling but also talked about his life outside of the ring.

After a stellar high school career at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio where he set the school record with 82 pins in his career, Ziggler went on to an equally impressive college career at Kent State University. He left with a then record 121 career pins at Kent State. Ziggler made his professional debut in November 2004.

Ziggler said at five-years old he wanted to be a professional wrestler. "My dad took to me an event and I saw Hulk Hogan wrestle Harley Race and I told him that night this is what I wanted to do." Having wrestled since grade school through high school, Ziggler was trained by Rip Rogers and Lance Storm. "Lance Storm was one of my heroes I use to watch on ECW wrestling."

Ziggler said he enjoys wrestling with all the regulars and the upcoming stars of WWE. "Kofi Kingston and I have a good ongoing feud right now. We have been battling for the Inter-Continental and the United State titles the last couple months. We have totally different styles but we somehow compliment each other in ring," Ziggler said. "Growing up I watched Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior and Rick Flair. Flair had the style, the talk and the talent in the ring. I like the show stealers." Zack Ryder, The Miz and Christian are often travel partners with Ziggler. "We are always throwing ideas off each other trying to make things better."

Wrestling isn't a sport where practice is needed like other sports, but Ziggler said conditioning is a key factor. "I am on a plane for 300 days of the year. I'm usually in the ring five nights a week and a lot of time I'll get in all seven nights to just to do some cardio."

While wrestling solo at this time, Ziggler said he likes a challenge from time to time. "On any given Monday night, you might find yourself in a tag team match. You have to be ready for anything."

In his free time Ziggler enjoys stand up comedy, writing and being active on Twitter. "I try out new material on my Twitter followers and it's a lot of fun. I can bring a witty side to the WWE if needed and that can lead to a television spot out the ring or to a movie part, just more to bring attention to the WWE." Ziggler said he enjoys hockey and football the most but will watch any sport. He's a big fan of the Lake Erie Monsters, a minor league hockey team in his hometown.

"It's surreal to see my images on toys and shirts. It's amazing to know that kids are playing with toys with my image on them and seeing fans of all ages wearing t-shirts with me on them," Ziggler said when asked about the merchandising side of the sport.

My last question was what motivates him to perform on those days when he's not feeling his best. "There are days when you don't feel good, you may be a little banged up or you've had 10 flight delays in the same day. If I was a fan sitting in the audience, I'd be disappointed if a top star didn't wrestle. I want to give the fans a great show so I leave everything that may be bothering me in the dressing room, go out and give the show they want to see and then come back and deal with things that may have had be feeling down."

Dolph Ziggler, love him or hate him, is a true WWE Superstar. I enjoyed my time I got to speak with him and he was a class act.

WOW to see how they looked when they first got a start crazy

What is stranger is seeing them before they made WWE. Seeing John Cena doing a Terminator meets surfer Sting gimmick with a bleached blonde Samoa Joe is surreal. The first time I ever saw Cena was on a documentary about pro wrestling which featured UPW. UPW was a promotion whose school trained Cena, Samoa Joe, Frankie Kazarian, Deuce Shade, The Predator (Sylvester Terkay), Heidenreich, Chris Masters, Sakoda, Gene Snitsky, Luther Reigns, Mike Knox, Nathan Jones, etc. Ironically, Jim Ross on a trip to evaluate talent, told Saoa Joe he had no future in wrestling, that the WWE was looking at guys like Nathan Jones and Heidenreich.

I've watched that too many times. Its good when I want to have a laugh. how dare you mock an engineered genius like the prototype.

Hulk Hogan on the we want Punk back bandwagon. Gotta love it.

He hopes he is on a short vacation at Hawaii or somewhere

Do you guys like JBL as an announcer?

Me personally i can not stand him. If i hear him say a double car wreck in a single garage one more time I am going to shoot my TV. I just find his commentary vary lame. He tends to say the same things over and over again. It is like everything he says is fed to him from the back. What do you guys think? i used to hate Cole but I like him much better now. The King is cool he can get annoying from time to time. i think they should put different people on commentary to freshen things up.
