Stephanie McMahon used to be head of creative, but gave that up for good reason, especially with her being a mom and not wanting to be the scapegoat. So Vince is now the scapegoat, and in talking about Batista, the stubbornness in that man's booking is probably kept so by Vince, Hunter I bet too. I guess Smackdown this week will feature a tweaking of Dave's character? Okay, well, if he ends up being a heel, then now the company has a heel vs. heel WWE World Heavyweight Championship match that will main event Wrestlemania 31? On paper, that's the worst possible idea for a Wrestlemania headliner, ever. Randall's not going to turn face, Dave as a tweener still wouldn't help their match. There is no solid face, isn't that wrestling 101? Need a solid face and a solid heel? In the Shield and Wyatts, both are heels, but the Shield acted as faces, so they get a pass. Here? Dave wouldn't be convincing, Randall can't be expected to act more like a face. No wonder people aren't willing to give this match a chance, all the variables on paper spell out undisputed results.

The idea of HHH and Daniel Bryan is perfectly fine, and they should have a good match, if it doesn't resemble Hunter and Punk from Night of Champions 2011. One where it was screwy, Punk went down after interferences, multiple pedigrees, and thus it's Hunter's way of putting a guy over, but still beating him. That could fly on a B-show, but at Wrestlemania, definitely not. Hunter and Bryan should go second last, that way the fans get the most out of Bryan's Wrestlemania spot, then just completely zone out on only one match, if Randall and Batista main event the show. If they're willing to put Brock and Undertaker last, that's fine, maybe even put Hunter and Bryan last. He doesn't get a title shot, but he gets to main event Wrestlemania.

Surgery went well & feeling good. Won't know if the growth is all removed or spread until tests come back. Doc optimistic and so am I.

No HHH this week on the interview from Cole, they said he was off to NXT. He had a conference call today about NXT's big live show tomorrow, and from what I read, he sounded passionate about the system, it is his baby after all. So filling in is the NXT General Manager, who hasn't been on the damn show in months, JBL.

He did talk about the big stuff coming on the show. The panel hosted by Renee Young will have Paul Heyman, Kevin Nash, and Bret Hart. Then the matches, Sami Zayn vs. Cesaro, Paige vs. Emma, which JBL had to rag on her dance.

The ladder match between Bo Dallas and Adrian Neville. John was very high on Neville, said he's 2 Cold Scorpio in WCW times 10.

I can see your way of thinking, certainly. I just think there comes a point where a guy gets too old and his skills have diminished to the point where you can't watch him anymore without reminiscing about how good he used to be. Especially if the guy was really good in his prime, then the fall is even greater. It's like, remember when Michael Jordan had his run with the Wizards? Even though he was still not terrible, he certainly didn't hold a candle to what he once was. Now imagine Jordan coming back to play nowadays, when he's like 50, and that's how I feel about Taker.

Wizard era MJ was still a great player. The only players SG/SF players at that time I would have picked over him would be Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, and Paul Pierce. Of those, only Kobe and Tracy were clearly head and shoulders above MJ at that time. The same holds true for Taker. I don't think there's a lot of guys on the roster who can put on an all around match like Taker.


While I think it should have been done last year, Taker/Lesnar intrigues me the most on the card. That, Triple H/Bryan, and a potential Uso/NAO match (just to see the Usos win the belts at WM) are the only matches that remotely interest me at this time.

This is the one time when I say OK wrestling isn't actually a sport. Wayne Rooney playing for Man United at 47 or 48 years old hahah. damn, lets hope it never gets this bad for Man United. I will always defend wrestlers that I like, but not to the point of being ridiculous. I wont start having a go at him until the matches suck, but I think he will already have really retired by then.

Gordie Howe was 52 when he finally retired from the NHL. Chris Chellios was 48 years old playing for the Nashville Wild of the NHL a few years ago. Jamie Moyer was a starting pitcher in MLB at the age of 49 a few years ago. Age is only a number with some people.

My Granda used to talk to me abut the greatest English player ever according to him. Stanley Matthews, he was skinning people in his 40s. How times have changed. it wouldn't be possible today. That was more of a joke at the current state of Man United.

I always think about times gone by, but the difference with this and football, boxing whatever is I still enjoy Undertaker. Monday had the best angle of the year so far. Not being in your prime doesn't matter in WWE like it does in a legitimate sport. Watching Tyson taking a beating from Danny Williams sucked, but he didn't have the protection of the WWE lights. This is when I start comparing to acting, giving performances, some are timeless. I'm not saying I want to see Undertaker be like Clint Eastwood and still be going at Wrestlemania 70. As long as the great performances come then there is no problem.

I guess Vince got in his ear and wanted him to say that. The idea was to sell Jerry Lawler being attacked by World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry at the time. The only time I watched basketball was when Michael Jordan played his last season with the Wizards. I only watched it because I recognized Jordan from Space Jam. I can't remember how good he was back then, but playing NBA Live 2003 a year later on Nintendo Gamecube, his game incarnation was pretty good. If those games are really accurate, then Kobe Bryant was really the best at the time.

As for Undertaker, by this point, I think it's viable he'll go 25-0 before retiring. If 20-0 wasn't the number to end his career on, then 25-0 seems fine enough. That nice number that's a multiple of 5. Then who'd be 23, 24, and 25? Sting, Daniel Bryan, John Cena. John Cena's the most possible, the other two could be changed. A Roman Reigns, or a Bray Wyatt, maybe Kane again, The Rock.

On CM Punk, I think he won't come back by Wrestlemania. If he does, where would he be on the card? He won't bother with Kane, he won't be in any title match, there's nothing for him. If anything, return on the show, but wrestling? Nah.

Thoughts on Main Event

1.) The Rhodes, Los Matadores, and El Torito vs. ALL of 3MB (Slater's back, Vile!) and Rybaxel. More on Slater, me and my dreams again, I swear I dreamed about Slater last night. I dreamed he was repackaged with the name of just "Zack." I thought the guy looked like Zack Ryder, and I questioned why he wasn't called "Ryder." At another glance, the straight red hair, I now thought it was Slater being repackaged. My dreams can be very vivid, so real like. One point I'm living this life, the next, I'm having sex with a redhead that looks like Leila Smith who's face is half covered in piss, even though I don't dig the piss fetish. ANYWAYS, yeah, wrestling time. Well, the match felt like a condensed version of multiman tag matches. You know, someone's dominated for a while on the face side, hot tag, and the faces gradually dominate and the fans are whipped up by that point as the faces win. Making it special was Torito and Slater's closing exchange. After everyone else were neutralized. Torito was entertaining, but his offense wouldn't be good if not for Slater's selling. It's obvious that selling for a little man is pretty ridiculous, and kind of humiliating. You have to make that look real. The only people who have done it most notably so far, is Seth Rollins and Heath Slater. Slater is most fit because, with all due respect, he's a joke. That's how he was booked, and he's good at being a joke, let's be real here. Funny stuff and Torito wins. Nice match.

2.) Byron Saxton interviews Heath Slater, obviously embarrassed and angry that Torito beat him. He said it was a bunch of bull, don't ask anymore questions, because Slater has spoken. Hmmm, 3MB split? Or just him and the other members being a lot more serious.

3.) OH NO! Eva Marie, major barf. At least she's with Natalya. One thing I learned from Steve Austin and his podcast is tiny things that only the man sees and analyzes. Stuff like an opening lock-up, as it sets the tone and indicates what a match will be, and I think too, a wrestler specifically. So by saying this, you can see Eva Marie's ability in the ring is virtually zero, starting by one small thing. How she entered the ring when tagged. It was very slow, not smoothly, it's as if any average Joe entering the ring. Then more things came, how she was basically a sack of potatoes in selling, Fox's throw to Eva towards the corner was just like the woman throwing a sack of potatoes. Nothing more graceful then that. Natalya had to tell fans to chant for Eva, despite some calls of "You can't wrestle." Another flaw, Eva moving away from a knee too early from Aksana. Early, to the point that it was before Aksana even dropped her damn knee. Eva Marie is a horrible wrestler, FACT. She's not a wrestler, bottom line, FACT. So Natalya got tagged in, and Byron Saxton said Natalya's showing how it's done to Eva. Now why would he say that? Because even he knows the facts of Eva Marie. She is the antichrist of the Divas Division, the absolute worst woman in it, and still shows that the company's willing to recruit models and shit. Hell, Eva Marie was a Hooters girl! Natalya said that in her appearance on Jericho's podcast. Goddamn her. Damn her to Hell. Anyways, yeah, Natalya did some real wrestling, but she was shoved, inadvertently hitting Eva Marie. Aksana took advantage with a spinebuster, and won. I can say that Aksana's improving, that Alicia Fox isn't bad nowadays, Natalya's awesome, but Eva Marie? No positives at all, not even looks, that red hair is just too loud for me. Maybe she's a good hate fuck session, but other than that? Why even try her as a face here? Damn Total Divas, I wish it was cancelled, but I have to remember that it benefits other women, such as Natalya.

4.) I hope somebody who watches Total Divas compiles all of Summer Rae's bits and posts it on Youtube, because there's no fucking way I'm watching that show. A commercial played for that by the way, Summer's bits seem the most interesting, apparently a sexual relationship with Fandango?! I think I saw her trying to flirt with Daniel Bryan! There was a recap of the closing RAW segment, and they played the same song that played in Undertaker and HHH's promo video for Wrestlemania 27. Or maybe 26, but I recognize the song.

5.) Bad News Barrett! His podium works this time. I had to listen to this again because I couldn't understand what he was saying. It started with Spring break, then getting messed up from it to the point that China will take over the United States? I found the link being that the Spring Break celebrators, as in college students, being groomed to being future leaders of the States. That kind of upbringing will result in them fucking up the country, and then China will cut in as a buyer for the nation. I get it now, pretty weird form of bad news though. It's as if Wade was trying to piece badly shaped puzzles and make it whole.

6.) More recaps, joy. Randall and Batista's promo. The former, I didn't even note some of the stuff he said, the smile he gave when Dave lost, saying that Del Rio beating him by rollup was funny. That kind of stuff. I think this will be a feud where Randall will be the better promo guys, this being the first example. Then the weekly Cole interview, this time with JBL.

7.) Darren Young vs. Titus O'Neil, on TV, not on PPV, so this shouldn't be so bad. Not really anything different from the Elimination Chamber match. It just happened, it was short, Titus did some stuff, Darren did some stuff. The only difference is Young won, stacked Titus on his shoulders suddenly for the win.

8.) NICE! A WWE Shop ad played solely on Daniel Bryan's Yes Movement merchandise. After that, Sin Cara goes against a drenched in sweat or water Damien Sandow. Saxton said Sandow is in "sudden death" mode. Where he'll treat every match like it's his last. Well, let's assume this is his last match. The style he went for resembled the assault he gave to Cena at the 10/28/13 episode of RAW. Despite that, a good brand of offense by the way, Sin Cara still won. Even when it looked like Cara would tap, even when I wanted Sandow to win, because it gives a glimmer of hope for him, that didn't happen. Sin Cara got out of it, put Sandow down and hit his Swanton for the win. There is no glimmer of hope for Sandow. There are three options for him. They release him, which nowadays is taking the guy off TV and house shows, and let his contract expire. The other option is repackaging, and the third, he actually strings together wins. I can't choose which one is more likely to happen, but just by naming the options as they are, it shows that Sandow's at the proverbial bottom of the totem pole. Interestingly enough, with Dolph Ziggler. Teehee.

This is going to sound weird, but El Torito stole the show. His performance, with Slater selling, was the best part of this show. On one hand, that's great for the little man, but on the other, it speaks of the lackluster affair going on elsewhere on the show.

Half a regular post with NXT Arrival coming live tonight. I listened to today's Steve Austin podcast with Lilian Garcia (1 L, not 2). They had fun with Lilian's history of botches, such as the exploding heel and hitting a pyro cannon. Remembering Nelson Frazier, and his angle with Lilian. I remember that, Viscera tried to seduce her, she actually proposed to him, but the Godfather ruined that and turned Viscera to the dark (lust) side. I think that was Vengeance 2005, and I felt bad for Lilian on that deal, even though it was all storyline. She's an intriguing story because it's one not documented. She was a radio DJ that got the gig based on how well she performed a song for a benefit. Originally she was doing sales. Her agent giving her the shot to tryout for WWF, which she thought was World Wildlife Fund, damn pandas. It was some audition for WWF program on Univision, so she spoke Spanish in her tryout. One bit was done in English, advertising a roll of tape as something more than what it really is. She was supposed to get the Univision gig, but that network gave it to someone else without telling the WWF. That show lasted only 6 months, and she got called back by WWF when Smackdown started. She auditioned a color commentary spot, but botched big time when she didn't know any of the wrestler's name. She hadn't watched wrestling as a teen and adult. When getting ready for her first ring announcing gig, she brought cue cards with her, but the timekeeper (Marc Yeaton) said that Kevin Dunn doesn't like cue cards, can't use them. So she stunk up on the first day, but of course she studied and got better, and the rest is history.

Her singing of the National Anthem is mentioned, she has the most Wrestlemania national anthem performances. 3, Aretha Franklin had 2. I can't remember, didn't she do Wrestlemania 29? 28? I know Aretha did 3 and 23. Her singing career is talked about, working with songwriters, the shitty music industry today with pro tools and stuff that Austin said would make him sound like a talented singer. Lilian doesn't lip sync, Beyonce does. What more needs to be said? My little sister loves Beyonce, and I honestly lost favor with her on looks, never liked her singing. Anyways, she sang the National Anthem 9 times for the New York Jets, and will do a 10th one in the future. She and her band will perform at NASCAR on March 8th in Las Vegas. She's part of the upcoming Susan G. Komen race, her mother being a breast cancer survivor (Austin revealed his mother's one too). Singing the National Anthem for Tribute to the Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the post 9/11 Smackdown. You can thank The Rock for Lilian's singing chops being delivered to WWE, because he heard her go and went to a road agent, eventually Vince wanted her to try, and he liked it.

I just realized they didn't address the inside horse face joking that was started by dearest Triple H. Man, there's the Jim Ross bullying, which in the end, is storyline, but at times it's clearly for Vince's own entertainment. Then there's the few times they insult Lilian, and I emphasize "few," but dammit. I even took that Godfather angle as an insult when I watched it, but she's totally professional. I just wondered what she thought about the horse face thing. You'd figure HHH would be the last person to talk about faces, Mr. Big Nose. The Ryback's joking of it was just stupid.

Off that tangent, it's a great conversation, and she offered advice for voice training too. Honey and throat coat tea, she suggested that for Cole and Lawler when they had rough voice days. Decade diva, that's the title bestowed upon her for 10 straight years in WWE, but that's way back in 2009. She took a little break after that, but it's close to 15 years now. Here's to another 10 more, she's awesome.


Dolph Ziggler did WWE Inbox and mentioned his Royal Rumble 2011 match with Edge as his greatest one. I'm tempted to see that match, because I definitely agree that it was his finest performance.

People are booing Batista not because of any shit with themselves personally. It's because at first he came in and got a Royal Rumble win, in the midst of the Yes Movement. It's still that, and also now because he turned out to be a bad performer on all fronts, at least until he turns full heel.

While wrestling may not be a legitimate sport, it's still based on athleticism. True, some guys have a style where they're able to tell a great story in the ring and can do so until old age, like Ric Flair. But as much as I like Taker, I personally don't put him in the same category as Jericho, HBK, or Flair, in that they can make anybody in the ring with them look good. I think his match quality is more based on how good his opponent is, which is why the Punk match was so good. So were the couple of matches with the Shield. But I didn't like the slow, plodding brawl that was Taker vs. Triple H in the cage. Even some of the more recent matches with unmasked Kane were big clunkers. So while I certainly respect you guys for still enjoying Taker's matches, IMO his matches aren't that great anymore on average, and I don't get excited about him anymore.

I really think Taker isn't what he used to be. For nostalgic value it's great, have him come back that once a year at Mania. But Wizards era Jordan was more than a decade ago. So I compare him to American Badass taker. Current Michael Jordan is who I would compare to Taker now. You had your time and you were great, but it's time to pass the torch. Just enjoy retirement. As for those other players, I don't really watch NHL so I can't comment on that, but Moyer was a finesse pitcher which is the only reason he got away with being in the league for so long. And even he steadily declined, continuing to get lit up for runs more and more until he finally realized he was done.

Dreaming about Zack and Slater, 7C? Have you been watching too much Saved by the Bell before bed?

Anyway I like the idea that Slater is going to get more serious. As fun as 3MB are, I don't like that they've just turned into joke jobbers. When they first formed, at least they were getting some wins over people like Santino, Zack Ryder, and even Sheamus. I'd like to see them get things together and become a force to be reckoned with, like the Shield.
