Have you any other examples? In the one you've given the thread name was changed from "Little Mermaid Live!" to "Little Mermaid Live! - Discussion"
Perhaps changing the thread name does have an impact?

it didn't seem like anything controversial, so i wondered why "mod approval" was taking so long. i figured what with the holidays, etc....

then yesterday it occurred to me to check the entertainment board directly -- and lo an behold there it was, approved and posted from like 5 DAYS ago! D'OH!!

now replace "5 days" with "2 years", and "single post" with "dozens" or "hundreds" -- really unmanageable w/o that subscription list.

It's a balancing act, yes having multiple options makes downloading easier, but you are then making it harder for uploaders, who after all, are the ones going to the effort of supplying the content.

hmmm. i hadn't noticed that. i assumed it was b/c of an "approval" intervention.

i can't really cite other examples offhand, since they're only obvious in the wake of them happening. i suppose that if i compared the 200 threads i've started over the years and the 170 of them which are in my subscription list, the other 30 would yield a trove. but i'm not sure how to do that, so for now, you'll have to wait until it happens again.

btw, WHY would someone add "discussion" to that thread?! they're ALL discussions! it's on the "discussion" board, no less!!

Don't make a unique response to each member, instead make one reply for multiple requests that are granted.

I think you're right Gwynd. Sounds like his posts were merged or deleted by a Mod. Any clean move should retain the original post #.

In the PATM section, I would like to see the first post in each thread provide a link to the other threads for the same artist.

Ie: the first post in PATM standard would contain links for that artist's PATM Hi and PATM Pictures, if these threads exist.

As an example, I'm posting a link to Gauge's PATM Standard opening post.

A rule would ensure that new threads must include these links, for existing threads a Mod could do it when they clean up a thread.

This can be easily done, but it would be a lot of work... but if you want to send me links I will make the appropriate edits.
