For me most anticipated fight in UFC history was Randy Couture Vs. Gonzaga
And in newer history I anticipated Ferguson - Khabib way more then CM - Khabib , but still, epic fight and must watch. One of those 2 men will become GOAT after Oct 7. I root for Khabib because I feel if CM win I would not see CM - Tony, and if Khabib wins we will see that for sure. ( 5th time the charm ) |

UFC 228 I've only watched the main card so far - but it was pretty damn good. Maybe Tyron can get a bit of love from Dana White now. Zabit Magomedsharipov's knee bar on Brandon Davis was just spectacular. Other Stuff For anyone interested in submission grappling/jiu jitsu, you should definetely check out Quintet 2. It is the brainchild of the legendry japanese MMA fighter Kazushi Sakuraba (also known as the "Gracie Killer" because of his many victories over various members of the Gracie family). It's a submission only team grappling event with an unusual set of rules. Four five man teams made up of the best grapplers from the worlds of jiu jitsu, judo, wrestling and sambo fight it out on a last man standing basis. Teams have to nominate the order of their fighters before the fights start, so they don't know which member of the opposing team they'll be fighting. This can result in some pretty hairy weight mis-matches. In terms of aggressive, attacking and exciting grappling Quintet is right up there with the Eddie Bravo Invitational events. Very exciting stuff with some sensational submissions. |

UFC 228 was fun to watch a lot of great fights happened that night.
Yeah *Maybe* Dana White will show some respect to Tyron Woodley but DW is an asshole and only likes other assholes like CM (the biggest Asshole on the planet, well besides Trump that is of course) Tyron Woodley and Demetrious Johnson are the two Champions with the most class, we well likely never see the likes of them again. Loved how TW KO'd that jerk!! But even afterwords Darren Till acted like a little spoiled brat that was forced to apologize and never means it when he says "I'm sorry" DT acted like it was a lucky punch....really? DT got owned, I was thinking at some point TW would look at the referee like "If I keep this up he's going to the hospital and wake up there" And man two knee bar's submissions in the same event...wow! And they looked really bad, not the way you want to lose a match. I mean nobody wants to loose a match up but to loose one in such a way that it becomes a high light reel clip...just shows how much they got out matched in the fight. I can't think of any other way to loose so badly except with what almost happened, and Joe Rogan called it while it was happening. A Full Nelson submission, Joe said something like " Ohh! look here he's got a Full Nelson on the guy and that looks really tight. Has there ever been one in the UFC, I don't think so, and this would be a first if he submits him with this Full Nelson" The other one I think would be bad is a full crucifix, I think I've done once though.

Just finished watching UFC 228 Prelims and Early Prelims. Holy Crap!!! that was a terrific night of fights from start to finish. Really impressed by the Irene Aldana vs Lucie Pudilova - what a slug-fest. And Diego Sanchez - what an animal!!! And of course Aljamain Sterling with that first knee bar was pretty spectacular.
Really looking forward to watching Fight Night 136. Can't wait to see if Alexi Olenik can get another spectacular sub. |

Fight Night 136 was pretty boring. Seems to me the judges were very pro-Russian with their scores. That nutty Korean dude (I forget his name) who was getting hit with everything and just SMILING back at him (that shit was hilarious)... I think I remember Bruce Buffer announcing that two of the three judges scored it 30 to 27 against him when ANYONE WATCHING THAT SHIT could see that you'd HAVE to give him at least one round for when he was on top for the vast majority of the ground time in that round. Three scores of 29-28 would've been warranted.

I notice the same kind of bullshit happening in other places outside of Vegas as well. If one fighters a local boy and the other is from another country, then the foreigner had better FINISH him or totally and completely dominate him so badly for all three rounds with a merited score of 10-8 per round, otherwise there's NO WAY he's getting a decision in his favor. |

So the Jon Jones suspension, a thing I had forgotten about, has gone through arbitration and is 15 months retroactive to the test date. He had been facing a 4 year ban. So the key part is he's done and clear to compete again as of Oct 28.

Cool!!! That may even take a little bit of the spotlight off the mofo McGregor whom Dana White has just signed a new 6 fight deal that will make him the "richest fighter in the UFC". Wonderful to see bad behaviour rewarded. Ugghhh!!!

There is 0 chance he fights 6 more times. Khabib, Diaz and maybe Woodley or Max and he call it quits.
