I can't state for the United States, but in the UK it came into being to provide more natural daylight in the evenings, at the expense of less daylight in the mornings.

Doing so provided more daylight for people who had to work outside, during "normal working hours," at a time of the year when the sun rose before most people got up for work - this was considered particularly helpful to agricultural workers.

It's not 4 months, you are forgetting that clocks "fall back" to where the would have been if there had been no "Summer Time" - It's the March to November (in the UK 25 March 28 October) bit that's moved.

Plus all those strawberries (and other fruits) being pulled off the shelves results in no sales and no income for the strawberries/fruits producers and losses in the millions which will result in employees being laid off and their families facing difficult times and hardships.

Apartment complexes in Texas use a standard Apartment lease contract that's printed by TAA, the Texas Apartment Association.

In it it indicates that tenants are responsible for the pest control of their own unit which includes bugs and rodents and anything else that may enter their unit.

Go to the store and get some rodent baits and traps.

Stop wanting the apartment complex to do everything for you. They are only responsible for maintenance of the unit when something breaks.
