![]() I'd venture to suggest that it is the very confusion between love and lust that has so many in this thread shouting "Hell Yeah". I have not confused the two which is why there is a dilemna.

Love? Overrated? Only if one's life is shallow, narrow and empty. Otherwise one understands that it is that very emotion that can inspire one to achieve almost anything. Even so, in this question there are simply too many undefined variables for there to be a definitive answer, the most obvious being "what happens when the two of you meet"? Until that happens there's simply no way to know. The only thing I have learned for sure about love and emotion is that one can never say "never". I can say I would not date a working porn performer but that's because I could not handle "sharing". It's not in my makeup. I also know I would struggle if she had a past. I have always made it a point to never ask about a girlfriend's past liassons or relationships and never to speak of mine. The past should be left where it is. It can't be changed and we all do things we regret. So I ignore it and consider each start a fresh chapter. However, porn pasts hang on. They emerge and confront. People discover them especially in the modern age when everything is a mouse click away. It's not that others would know. I couldn't give a rats bum about the opinion of others. It would cripple me to have it put in front of me and some things are simply unavoidable. All those things stack in the against column. Then I come back to that indefineable "it". That thing where two people click, have a million things in common, talk easily about everything, share interests and are genuinely at ease with each other. That thing where two parts just fit together to make whole that - while not perfect because nothing ever is - is as close to perfect as one can hope for. What if...? What then? It's not a simple question and it's not just the matter of looks or sexuality or rude yoga that too many seem to think. Not unless one regards a porn performer as a trophy which I would not, and would marry on those terms, which I would not. As for my mother, well I haven't spoken to the woman in nearly 20 years so I was employing a degree of licence, but you take my point I'm sure?. Quote:

![]() Silvia Saint was involved with Mr. Marcus for quite a while (hence why they have so many scenes together). I read on another board he used to beat her and she would show up on the set with bruises. Don't know for sure if thats what happened but thats the rumor going around. Maybe after him she smartened up and found a sugar daddy?

![]() I kinda doubt the profession of a woman I love would have any impact on my desire to marry her or not.

![]() Here the answer I gave on pornBB
Simple answer is: well, no. Complicated answer (and let's just ignore the issue if a pornstar or starlet is personally compatible with oneself and has an appealing character etc.): Under very special circumstances: perhaps. Someone who has only done modeling or posing and perhaps occasionally g/g (take someone like Sarenna Lee, for example) wouldn't be that much different from a girl outside of the profession, apart from being ill-reputed. In this case, it would rather depend on her life outside her job. More difficult for an ex-actress who had done a couple (but not very many) flicks of simple vanilla porn. Here is the question in how far that is different from a girl who had her share of one-night-stands or FB-relationships in her past (again, apart from the social aspect). It gets really interesting once we cross from starlet into star-territory. And here, the social ramifications are just one thing, but these could perhaps be circumvented (how is up to one's creativity). But there is one other thing, one that won't go away by an identity change or by leaving porn. Let's just say I personally am big about at least some symmetry, and a relationship where two people have a totally different lifestyle and past experiences is likely to fail (no, I didn't watch Chasing Amy, but I can relate to a certain extent). If the expectations and tolerance towards one another are comparable, then it might work out. If I was a high-rated pornstar myself (or at least had a sex life like one) and had roughly the same amount of nasty stuff under my belt, it'd be different for me (and would be rather hypocrite if I would still say "hell no"). But having a gf or wife that is regularly fucked by other people while one is at home? It takes a lot of tolerance to stomach that without being jealous, and that's just without the social implications (being a cuckold by definition sucks, having a "kinda-prostitute" as wife sucks as well, and it's probably even worse for any children). And ex-pornstars aren't that much better - if a person, after a, well, let's say rather excessive career in the sex business, after she had done dozens or hundreds of flicks and any kind of position that exists, now tries to cut her ties and settle down with someone she considers a decent guy to have an exclusive relationship... well, it takes a very casual attitude towards sex to be okay with that. I for my part would feel used in a certain way. And that's just the part of emotional jealousy, the part of sexual jealousy (and, let's face it, inferiority) also plays into it: sex itself loses a lot of "specialness" and intimacy. How do you handle someone who by definition has experienced everything there is, who is impossible to surprise, who has no taboos to break and no boundaries to cross, no special "gifts" she can make or has received before, who probably might more or less unknowningly compare you to any partners on screen she had (even IF one assumes most experiences were not that satisfying, it leaves some that might have been great)? Sorry, doesn't sound that good to me, and the social aspect (judgemental looks, offspring being harassed because of their mom etc.) is just another matter.
