I know I said Trips should stay out the ring but to get his ass kicked by Bryan then I'm definitely all for him getting back in. Beating Bryan he would get major heat. Extra heat would be to shake his hand then Pedigree him at the end and you could really start the war of Bryan and Triple H to make post Mania more exciting. An extreme rules match between the two could be off the charts. Trips loves bleeding. Not that it isn't exciting enough with Sting possibly coming. Wow, suddenly Punk possibly gone has turned things around dramatically or maybe I'm just overdoing my marking out here.

Thinking about it more, it's not so easy to have sympathy for Punk. If you exclude Batista and Lesnar, not knowing their salaries to begin with, Punk has to be the third highest paid talent, behind Cena and Randall. The fact he has a tour bus says it. So he's paid a good amount of money, and while he's frustrated, he feels just to simply walk away? It's understandable why he's burnt out and disillusioned with the company, but some people were/are in a somewhat similar position, yet they didn't walk away. Such as Daniel Bryan. It should be interesting though what compromise would be made, and thus show that the company appreciates Punk, they just have been taking him for granted lately. It's funny too how reports of his attitude backstage conflict with the attitude he claims to have in interviews. Not complain, do what's told and make the best of it. I had the feeling that was a front, the guy screams "miserable wreck" waiting whenever he's not in the top spot. In fact, it's 2011 all over again. The past 3 years for a majority have seen the guy complain less and less because of where the company finally put him. Now that glory is over, he's fallen from grace, and it's back to curiosity over his future. This time, he's a bigger star than he was in 2011, so I would think the company would push harder to keep the guy. Unless he truly wants to retire.

If Sting signing with WWE is official, why not Punk vs. Sting? Would that satisfy him? It's better than nothing. I hit a dead end, with no HHH match, what can they really put CM Punk in? On one hand it's their fault because the Daniel Bryan booking trickled down and mixed with their own taking for granted of CM Punk. On the other, circumstances simply don't favor Punk. If Shawn Michaels miraculously came back. If they put Brock in there with Randall and Dave, therefore D-Bryan moves to 'Taker, Punk moves to HHH? Everything's speculation by this point. Hell, they could pull a total swerve, enter Punk in the Elimination Chamber, he wins, Dave gets his shot. Randall wants his rematch, but wants it for Wrestlemania. 3 way with Punk as world champion.

Yeah, without Punk, they could still make a strong card, but Dave and Randall would not be why it'd be a strong card. They would, if Batista was a better babyface, and Randall was allowed to be a more invincible heel, rather than the guy he's made out to be now.

Anyways, without guessing and thinking, here's a rather funny story.

Former WWE champion Matt Hardy (HAHAHAHA!) was arrested at a motel in Virginia earlier this month ... after allegedly getting into a fight with his wrestler wife ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Just look at the mug shots of Hardy and 27-year-old Reby Sky -- both appear bloody and scratched up.

Hardy has multiple scratch marks all over his face and Sky -- real name Rebecca Hardy -- appears to be sporting a fat lip, black eye and several small cuts on her face.

Law enforcement tells TMZ Sports ... cops raced to the Hampton Inn in Emporia, VA on January 1st around 5:45 AM after someone at the hotel call 911.

During the 911 call, obtained by TMZ Sports, the hotel staffer told the operator ... "A guest just came down here and said somebody's beating the hell out of his wife a girl or something."

When cops arrived to the scene, both Matt and Sky were arrested for assault and battery. They were released on $3,500 bail.

Our sources tell us both Matt and Sky got restraining orders against each other.

Apparently none of them acknowledge the incident on Twitter, and still interact with each other there. It's still funny. I remember back in 2009, more into Matt Hardy than Jeff. Thinking the former was the one with his head screwed on straight, and the other affectionately known as Meth Hardy. Nowadays, a complete 180. With Jeff there was always a small glimmer of hope that he'd shape up, especially since he has a kid. Matt has none of that, so the glimmer of hope for him is nonexistent.

I have to laugh. I clicked on pwinsider and the first thing I saw was Reby Sky and Matt Hardy arrested. I thought this should be fun. Its been a while since the last Matt Hardy mugshot, but now his wife as well. Crazy. Maybe they were shooting an angle and it got out of hand.

The CM Punk situation is blowing up. Noticing it, this should force the company to reach out to Punk more, or something. Bad PR, and they can't have that with the WWE Network coming out next month. Also, Punk should break silence, things are only going to escalate. Of this news, one dead and buried wrestler still employed by WWE, tweeted...

TMZ picked up on the story, proof that it's blowing up. I don't think their side of the story is true though, why would Punk be mad about wrestling HHH? Also, he bailed before RAW started, hence the reported re-write.

WWE superstar CM Punk is QUITTING the organization, TMZ Sports has learned ... and sources tell us it's all because he's PISSED over the way the company wants to use him at "WrestleMania."

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ Sports ... Punk was livid when he learned officials scripted Batista to win the Royal Rumble ... because he feels Batista isn't in great wrestling shape and shouldn't be featured in the title match at the upcoming WrestleMania (the biggest event of the year).

We're told Punk feels he earned the right to be in the main event at WrestleMania -- because he's been wrestling tirelessly over the past year from house shows to overseas events. Punk was angry when he found out he'd be wrestling Triple H at WrestleMania instead of squaring off in the title match.

Sources say ... Punk -- whose contract is up in July -- made the decision to leave WWE after "Monday Night Raw" -- and we're told that right now, he's very serious about his decision and has no plans to return.

This though feels more true.

ProWrestling.net have had a reader send in a Comic Con report from last Friday in Portland, Oregon to which CM Punk attended.

There are some notes that are being picked up on from news websites that aren't being quoted which are originally down to this report.

"I was at Punk's Portland Comic Con and I didn't feel the need to relay the information until he departed from WWE. There are two key parts of his Q&A that stand out in retrospect.

1. He was very upset about Batista getting the WrestleMania main event, which pretty much spoiled the Royal Rumble. He clarified he was friends with "Dave" and that "they" would not be happy, but he wanted to be honest and it was Daniel Bryan's year. Actually, he said Bryan Danielson but corrected quickly.

2. He was very disinterested in the current product. Asked about promos he defeatedly made comments like "I show up. Someone tells me what to do and I just go out do it and leave." He implied his recent work was not good and was down to only using two moves a match.

Punk was very nice, engaged, and happy with his fans but in regards to wrestling and WWE he was definitely despondent and unhappy."

Bully Ray in TNA got involved.

That would be awesome, but only if Punk and Ray had full creative control. TNA would botch it up, WWE wouldn't perfectly handle it.

Then reading this helped put things in perspective.

Gabe Sapolsky, once boss of CM Punk back in Ring Of Honor and now the VP of Dragon Gate USA has commented on the CM Punk rumours of him leaving the WWE.

"CM Punk and I were close at one time, but have not spoken in months. There was no falling out or heat to my knowledge, it’s just how things go with both of us leading very different lives now. In other words, I have no inside track or info, just a take on things. I have already received many messages with fans asking for Punk in DGUSA and EVOLVE, especially with the shows coming up in New Orleans on April 3rd, 4th and 5th as part of the WWNLive Experience. However, knowing Punk I would be shocked if he ever did an independent wrestling show again. There’s probably a better chance HHH shows up at a non-WWE event. Punk has given himself 110% to the business over the last few years. His scheduled amazed me because there was no way any human should have had to endure it.

He gave his heart, soul and body to WWE and every wrestling fan. My take on all this is it is best now to just leave Punk alone. Let him recharge, refresh and get his life back. He mentally and physically needs it. If and when he’s ready to do something, I’m sure he will. Just leave him alone and let him be.”

Dave Scherer and I just completed a nearly two hour discussion on the Punk situation, the reaction from those within the company on both sides of the fence of this story, how this will change Wrestlemania, Daniel Bryan's place on the roster and much more that will go up shortly in the Elite section of the site.

WWE stopped following CM Punk on Twitter this afternoon. Considering they follow a number of discarded characters (Dr. Shelby) and WWE NXT talents who have since been released, that should tell you all you need to know.

CM Punk has been the number one trend on Twitter for most of the day worldwide, so that should tell you what a big story the situation has become. WWE has yet to publicly acknowledge it.

In regard to the TMZ.com report that Batista was the reason Punk walked out, we are told by WWE sources that it was nothing to do with Batista personally and it wasn't him that caused the decision. It was more a collection of issues including burnout, injuries, a difference in what the company saw as a big push for Punk and what he felt was one (specifically working Triple H at Wrestlemania), and just an overall frustration with how he was perceived overall. It was not a case of Batista came in, so Punk walked out we are told.

UPDATE: The Punk Netflix streaming documentary was pulled a week ago, so it had nothing to do with Punk walking out on the company. The CM Punk "Best in the World" documentary has been pulled from Netflix streaming. Thanks to Jeffrey Everett.

That would be such a good one too. Maybe WWE put TMZ up to this, twisting the story to somehow further antagonize HHH and Batista. Foreshadowing Dave turning heel and joining with Hunter. So Punk took his ball and went home because he's done trying to fight the Authority.

The WWE unfollowing CM Punk is telling, the other facts aren't necessary. Whoever runs the WWE Twitter account probably forgot they're still following Dr. Shelby and fired NXT talent.

The timing might be bad, because it's all about CM Punk, but news came out about this woman secretly being filmed for the second season of Total Divas for 2 months now. She was revealed today.

Vincent has totally fucked up with CM Punk who apart from Bryan is the most over wrestler with the audience.
When they did the whole screwing thing with Bryan vs Orton, Punk.should have been the one to chase the title, win it at the Rumble, with Bryan winning the Rumble to set up the biggest potential match on their books which the fans actually want to see being Punk vs Bryan for the title in the WM main event.
As Punk said "Vince McMahon is a millonaire who should be a billionaire if it wasn't for his idiotic daughter and doofus son in law" - How apt at this moment!!!
