My experience varied over time, but without doing a lot of finger pointing and yelling, I can say this... Recently I re-upped via credit card, and a Chinese whateveryoucallit payment taking service or whatever put three charges on my cc. One was the original purchase, one was whothefuckknows, and the third I think, was from a retailer on Ebay.
Trouble is, when you call the associated phone # on your statement, the group there cannot tell you (alledgedly) where the charge is from. Really?!? I called them more than once, and at one point they said we can research the thing, and did I want them to take the charge(s) off...so I said "Only if they are charges I did not make", so again, "Who is/was the retailer and what was the charge for?" No joy. I called my cc customer service, and we did the conference call thing. Again, they said they would "research" the issue. Later I got confirmation from my cc that the disputed (sort of) charge was taken care of. But no further info. Evidently some of these folks are not geared up for simply telling you what a charge is, and you either dispute it and call it fraudulent or nothing. Things are not always that simple. But surely (and I am not calling you Shirley) if you take money for retailers surely, surely you must know on some level what the billing are for, and for what business. Doncha think? No more for me, when this subscription runs out, I am done with them.

Well , after 2 months (the back story : I bought 2 months of premium at ks with cc, after 6 months I see 3 fraudulent transaction from China, got to bank, make complain, close the cc, make new one, got to police..), and today , the bank give me the money back(not much for some , 60$), the only explication was ''denial of transaction'', although 2 transaction was older than 14 days of refusal period, and the bank must give a answer in max 30 days...so for now only the money are recovered, not the time/stress/energy, and I gained some experience of life...

Edit: and fboom is slowed down to 2kbps again for the past fifteen minutes. Fix your stuff, k2s and fboom!

If I buy a $4.95 3 day premium, is it recurring?

If it's recurring every month, how is the cancellation process.

I see the subscription cancellation button but is it one of those cases where they give you the run around and not cancel and there are no phone # to reach them at and they don't reply to your emails, etc?

Can I trust these people not to steal from my Visa card?

I wished they had PayPal but they don't.

I am downloading a bunch of new clips that are only found on 2 sites which unfortunately chose to only use K2S.

Each one taking forever, some of them are as large a 1.5 GB each and it takes a whole day to get each file as a free user (along with the constant wait 2 hours again and again just to start the next free one) praying that the connection doesn't drop or the download doesn't mess up.

My FBoom account is already taxed out for uploads. Didn't take long... it has been pretty reliable but I don't know if I want to pay premium for something like this. I'll probably switch back over to K2S for a bit. Wish some of these didn't have such small storage limits. Anything you can do to get points or anything like that to expand your account, without paying? Just curious.

After going back and reading some of the posts here by other members where they bought a premium K2S membership and had charges put on their CC, I will not even buy a 3 days membership.

It will take me another week to get all the movies I want that are hosted on K2S in the other forum and I rather do that than put up with fraudulent charges on my CC and having to call the bank and the CC company.

It's unfortunate that a lot of the items, I'd like to make a collection out of seem, in the main, to be on Filefactory.....

this is the truth - took me 2 hours tonight, do download as FREE a 149MB file.
That it actually finished amazed me, it oftentimes, carries on for an hour or so, stops and you find an incomplete file of about 50MB.

Without scams and cons, Rapidshare in it's prime was fanastic as a Premium user - although they jiggled and messed around with FREE later on it appears.

1Filchier is pure heaven for any FREE user.
As I mentioned earlier, over 2 hours to d/l 149MB on File Factory.
Minutes after that d/l.... I d/led a 1.5GB file from 1Filchier - FREE USER - in 12 minutes.
On other forums, as well as PS, you see even Mods saying they avoid FileFactory.
To the FF uploaders? Why use it ?

If you want to genuinely share, use 1Filchier, instead of trying to encourage members to take out Free Registration, and d/l in a couple of days...or BUY File Factory Premium and download even slower than 1Filchier does for FREE !

I doubt 1Filchier will keep these speeds and access up forever, but, whilst they do....
Downloaders ....grab them use them...and support them !

Uploaders, if you genuinely want to share, slip in a 1Filchier alternate d/l ---why not ?
