Jericho's return last year was a huge surprise, this year not so much.
I really doubt he'll win it even though he was the first undisputed champion and all that. Sheamus should be all set to return at the Rumble - no surprises there. I'm also expecting Roman Reigns to beat Kane's record for most eliminations. This year's Royal Rumble commercial is much better than last years... Last year's Royal Rumble by the numbers video was cool.

I'm looking forward to the match more than the past few years. It is always pretty predictable. Sheamus winning last year was a surprise to me because I thought if Jericho was ever going to win, then last year would be his year to win. His big return then. Other years it has been easy to predict. Maybe next week it will be easier to pick the winner. I think Roman Reigns beating Kane would be a good bet (so many jobbers to eliminate), also one of the other members or both of the shield to eliminate Reigns would be a good bet. All I'm thinking about the shield now is when Roman Reigns goes on his own. maybe him throwing Ambrose and Rollins over would be an even better bet. or maybe they just get on and they all get eliminated by Cena The Shield are an established force, Punk wasn't in the match last year, he is obviously a favorite, Bryan maybe. I guess we have to see since he has two storylines going together at the minute. hot shit. I'm thinking he wont get a title match, but I could be wrong. Sheamus has said he wont be clear for a certain time, but maybe that is just being WWE. telling lies and shit. Batista? who knows. Options are still open at the minute. |

The weird thing, they can easily fill the 30 man slot with their current main roster, but they feel the need to import special guests. The 2012 version with Michael Cole, Lawler, and Booker made it too excessive. Last year was better, this year, who knows? I would read sometimes of Jake Roberts wanting to do a Royal Rumble gig. The cool thing about the Royal Rumble every year is that you never know exactly who gets in. Back to Chris Jericho, WWE.com interviewed him and mentions a possible return to the ring. Quote:
Just a very interesting tidbit, Jeff Jarrett resigned from TNA. Quote:

It is official and the announcement was just made on RAW tonight.
The Animal Batista returns to RAW on Jan 20. I would bet on Batista winning the Royal Rumble match this time Sign of the evening:

The big question with Batista is what he's coming back as, I can't shake the idea of him coming back as an ally/lapdog of Orton/HHH. Getting the band back together so to speak. At least until someone stabs the other in the back, maybe setup a Batista/HHH match at mania.

I'm thinking Orton vs Batista right now.

Maybe he does come in and is all chummy with his old mates, then a quick thumbs down and Orton goes through a table. sounds like something that happened before . It would be nine years later, so new to most/a lot. whatever playtime is over children Quote:

Batista wants to fight Lesnar apparently. Sounds good to me. I'm all excited again, I like to have the big stars back.
Off track but wouldn't mind seeing Double J in the Rumble, doubt it'll happen though. |

It would be cool to put him in the RR and have a diva eliminate him, maybe Aksana.

I wouldn't be upset and I'm sure the original story was released on purpose. I'm fully on the it is better for people to know bandwagon, especially for something like a Royal Rumble match. a surprise entrant that has no chance of winning is fine, but when points can be won and lost in prediction contests, then I want to know if a big name is going to be there. I'd have Fandango win the IC title next week. he is more entertaining than Big E. Having Summer Rae is a big advantage. I don't see why they shouldn't make Fandango champion. I know they wont. I'm pretty sure Big E squashes him and will not impress me. I hope they keep it a little competitive before Big pulls the strap down and unleashes his super powers. |
