![]() The only reason I care is because we have no need for this in this section. Complain somewhere else.

![]() None.
I don't know why but I dislike the modern way of show making...tried watching lots of modern shows but I can't really get into them (I did for Twin Peaks 3, but it was the continuation of a 90s cult). I keep discovering and rewatching old school stuff.

I like to keep an open mind and give current TV output a fair chance, same as I have done since I was a child in the '60s.

![]() I won't rehash the other shows I talked about earlier but one show that I'm really looking forward to is season 2 of A Million Little Things starting on the 26th I think.
I can't wait for Stumptown as well with Cobie Smulders. I just realized I'm not following Bachelor in Paradise as closely as I thought, I guess you can only see so many train wrecks before it gets old lol. I don't know how I'm going to fit all these new shows into my hockey schedule!!! |

Margaret Atwood’s ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ Book Sequel ‘The Testaments’ In The Works By MGM TV & Hulu By Denise Petski September 4, 2019 6:37am A follow-up to the award-winning The Handmaid’s Tale is in the works. MGM Television and Hulu are developing The Testaments, Margaret Atwood’s sequel to her best-selling dystopian novel The Handmaid’s Tale. MGM and Hulu are currently in talks with Handmaid’s showrunner Bruce Miller about how the upcoming novel can become an extension to the series, which was recently picked up for a fourth season by Hulu. The Testaments picks up more than fifteen years after Offred’s final scene in The Handmaid’s Tale novel, and is narrated by three female characters. It will be published on September 10. Doubleday and Anchor Books*acquired U.S. rights*to the book last year. The acquisition announcement noted at the time that*Handmaid’s has become “a symbol of the movement against” Donald Trump, “standing for female empowerment and resistance in the face of misogyny and the rolling back of women’s rights around the world.” “Margaret Atwood is a literary icon who continues to delight and challenge readers through her provocative and compelling prose,” said Steve Stark, President of Television Production at MGM. “She has been an incredible creative partner and resource to MGM throughout the production of*Handmaid’s*and we look forward to working with her on the story’s exciting next chapter.” “Margaret Atwood is one of the visionary storytellers of her generation. From her award-winning poetry, short-stories and novels, Margaret has continually pushed boundaries and broken barriers to bring innovative stories to life,” said Craig Erwich, Senior Vice President of Originals, Hulu. This marks the third collaboration between Atwood and MGM Television. In addition to*The Handmaid’s Tale,*the studio acquired the rights to Atwood’s 2015 novel*The Heart Goes Last,*which tells the story of a young couple who have been hit by job loss and bankruptcy in the midst of a nationwide economic collapse. Led by showrunner Miller, The Handmaid’s Tale*was an instant hit when it premiered in April 2017, becoming the first streaming show to win a best series Primetime Emmy Award. It has since gone on to win multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards, a Peabody Award, an AFI award and has been honored by multiple Guilds including the Producers Guild. The Testaments*will be published simultaneously by Penguin Random House across the English-speaking world: by Chatto & Windus/VINTAGE in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India; McClelland & Stewart in Canada; and Nan A. Talese/Doubleday in the US. |

![]() Season 3 of The Good Doctor drops on Sept 23rd and it looks like Shaun may have a love interest ... it's made in Vancoucer for ABC. I love Richard Schiff and Paige Spara in it.
But my time for medical shows will be focused on 2 of the best shows on television, that being The Resident and New Amsterdam that both drop the same week. CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) starts it's new season next week with a ton of Canadian shows, some which are broadcast worldwide and deservadly so. I will highlight some later |

![]() If you are a fan of the "Arrowverse" you might like the new addition coming in early October on CW in the US and Showcase in Canada. Batwoman enters with Ruby Rose (formerly from Orange is the new Black) is the follow up to Elseworld where Bruce Wayne's cousin Kate Kane takes his place after he vanishes. She is openly gay in the show and is a stunner.
Arrow is finished next year but in the meantime there is a pretty cool crossover planned between all of the following television series: Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman ... |

![]() I guess I'm an old curmudgeon, the only new stuff I watch are live sports. Otherwise I just re-watch old series I love, Battlestar, Fringe, Warehouse 13, That 70's Show, Firefly, Sopranos, Top Gear, Torchwood, etc, I guess I'm a creature of habit
