Old windows will not delete

a month or two ago i re-installed my OS because i wanted clear every off my computer as it was starting to clutter. However i noticed that "my old windows" was still there so i tried to delete it, everything did delete from it apart from a Ambling Books audio story Robinson Crusoe (no matter how many times i press the robinson_crusoe_1 it goes into another folder i tried deleting one by one but that does not work and the same when i try to delete ALL at the same time it says (destination patch too long) the file name/s would be too long for the destination folder. You can shorten the file name and try again, or a location that has a shorter path. i don't know what that means i even tried IObit Unlocker to delete it with no luck please help.

First, whenever possible, format the drive when reinstalling. While reinstalling on the same drive is easier, numerous issues can occur, and a file that won't delete is one of the least problematic.

As for the file, look as these:

Try deleting it as administrator.

and those went over my head if im to be honest and my Norton picked up something on filehippo and wouldn't let me download unlocker.

instead i downloaded something called "deletelongpath backupchain" with no luck


@ helpme, there is no option for me to do that, at least not that i can see.

Yeah, first rule of installing windows is to format the drive first. It sidesteps these kinds of issues.
