Win 7 how much HDD space??
Hi guys,
I want to install Windows 7 RC 7100 32-bit version to try it, but the catch is that I have only one partition with free space left on my 3 HDDs which is 15.5 GB large..So my question is-will I be able to install Win 7 or not?? In specs it says 16 GB minimum free space, but I read on some forum that some guy installed it, and it took around 8.8GB with a few programs installed??? Here is his post: Quote:

I have that one partition for the fresh installation of Windows 7, and it's 15.5 GB in size... My question was clear - will this 15.5 GB partiton be enough for the full installation of Windows 7 RC1 7100 build 32-bit ???

Are you sure you want to install Se7en?

- It's an RC, might be not stable. Not a big deal when it comes to a software, but we're talking about an OS. - Free + Miscrosoft = suspiscion. The cheapest version of Vista costs 125€. - Will you be able to upgrade once the definitive version will be available or will you be trapped with a crappy beta? Be very careful, if you're satisfied with your OS don't change. You may regret it. Edit Found this info: Quote:
1. Viral marketting campaign about how great Se7en will be compared to Vista 2. Free version of Se7en available during a very long time and without any restriction 3. Free version expires, now pay if you want to use you computer. |

No need to be so frightened, I'll DL it only for testing...They say it'll be a really nice OS not like Vista..This is what my friend got on his e-mail from MS being a Beta tester:
