The EU has very strong incest legislation and since the ECJ takes precedent over all EU member states' domestic law courts (just one of UK's bugbears with EU) it's those laws that govern how countries like Belgium handle the matter. Keep in mind too that many Eastern bloc countries and Balkan States as well as Turkey are EU partners and as such must bring all legislation into line with the ECJ. Alignment is an essential part of the deal. Another reason why the UK is not even an official "partner State" (though ties remain essentially close).

I don't know what the hell the US is doing. What I took issue with is your blatantly false statement that these places are "the world's capital for underaged sex and child brides". None of the articles you shared state that.
