Sylva Koscina born Silvija Košćina was a Yugoslavian naturalized Italian actress and model. Active for almost forty years, she enjoyed great success due to her attractiveness, thanks to which she represented the sublimation of the extramarital transgression typical of Italian comedy. Of Croatian origin, she was born in the then Kingdom of Yugoslavia to a Greek father and a Polish mother. At the beginning of her career she was a model for the best Italian designers of the time. Attractive, curvy and photogenic, Koscina appeared in numerous films produced between the 1950s and 1980s, often working alongside well-known actors, first and foremost Alberto Sordi, Nino Manfredi and Ugo Tognazzi. Also popular on television, she was host with Mike Bongiorno and Paolo Villaggio of the 1972 Sanremo Festival. Sylva received an unmissable offer and posed nude for Playboy in 1967, when she was at the height of her career. Between 1967 and 1968, like other well-known Italian actresses of the 1960s, Koscina was hired to shoot some films in Hollywood. He starred in three films in America, but they were unsuccessful! In 1969 she returned to Italy permanently and resumed working on television, cinema and also in numerous television commercials, abandoning her modeling career at that moment.
