There was about six months of training for most of the actors to do what they did, namely the singing and dance routines which worked off each of the character's vocal strengths and I appreciate them attempting to bring out some of the character's inner thoughts to song in this episode-so I wouldn't shortchange Strange New Worlds for doing this.
Hell, its been done before with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and they did quite well after it.

For me, this has been the best season of all the new Trek shows. It's tried to have a heart and return slightly to classic storytelling.

This was my favorite episode of the season, which I replay over and over. It was great. I'm an Old Trekkie, and I grew up on TOS, and I remember we went years without any Trek until ST:TMP and then WROK, and finally TNG. This episode was a breath of fresh air. But the first two seasons of Picard and the entire DISCO series is an abomination that I can't stand.

To each their own. I watched all three seasons of Picard with an underlying "WTF," so I feel you there.

However, this infamous singing episode took me about 8 days to watch, because I could only handle about one song at a time. The only number I mildly enjoyed was Chapel "I'm Ready." Kinda hard to stop the drool when she's on the screen, so that's probably why I kinda liked that one song.

And as long as we're discussing episodes, I had a really tough time with incoming transport! having been both on the medic and patient end of several emergency rooms.

And another thing, do Klingons really have Backstreet Boys and New Klingons on the Block? Methinks this to be a plot hole.

Did the writer's strike kill this show? Or is it simply no one here is posting it?

Filming was delayed by the strikes, expected to complete in July of this year.
