What's the file hosts situation in late 2023?

Hello!

I have been downloading files from this forum from pretty much 2010, a good year before I even created my profile, however I haven't relied on links for the last few months (I mostly used torrents).

I just wanted to know what's the current situation with file hosts, specifically what the most popular hosting websites are these days.

The last thing I remember was Zippyshare closing down, which was a damn shame as it allowed me to download files at full speed without creating accounts or paying a fee.
Is there an alternative for it that's used throughout the forum?

1fichier is the main Zippyshare alternative these days. While there are limits to how frequently you can download files (I think it is one file every 90 minutes), the speed is good and there are no file size limits to uploaded files.

Zippyshare shut down like 3 1/2 months ago

If you want download stuff fast get a Usent account for $5 a month and a indexer account for $15 to $25 a year.

clicknupload and 1fich are the good ones at the moment. nothing lasts forever unfortunately. but when one goes down 3 plus alternatives goes up

UpToBox is gone too, they got raided. that site had everything. I'm looking for a host to upload stuff but all of them seems to delete files if they're inactive...
