AI Discussion
I admit that I know very little about how AI art, but I've been seeing some around lately, and I have some questions for the group.
1. Some of this art (and I'm losing that term VERY loosely) looks pretty damn realistic. Do we get a pass if we upload an AI image by accident? 2. Where are people creating their AI? I found one site that lets you put in some basic parameters (see below for "Taylor Swift stockings garters" and "Hayden Panettiere french maid"). Nothing beyond PG-13 images from that site, though. Another site lets you select a bunch of predetermined filters, but doesn't necessarily get you what you're looking for. Neither results with anything that would be mistaken for realistic, but its fun. I don't think I'm allowed to list the sites here. 3. Any other thoughts? (I apologize if there's already a thread with this topic, but "AI" doesn't really work as a search query) |

Check out the Stable Diffusion threads: Part 1 and Part 2.
All celebrity stuff needs to be posted in the celebrity fakes subforum and non-celebrity stuff can be posted in the 3d Sex / Sexy 3d Babes thread in the Image Themes subforum. In either case, make sure to follow the rules of the specific subforum. If you accidentally post something you in good faith thought was a real image in another place, I doubt the moderators of those sections are going to ream you unless you make a habit of it or are causing other issues. |

I wonder would AI help enhance videos? I know on the forum over many years people post questions about upscaling the resolution of usually an old video and the answer as usually been its near impossible to scale better than the original.
Can AI now solve this issue? |

What is and what isn't AI is a super complex field of discussion, so I won't be going into the details here.
Topaz Video AI is actually considered AI at the moment, as it's a piece of software, but it uses trained models to process video inputs into newly created outputs. That's the AI part of it and sets it apart from a mere algorithm."At the moment" already points at a commonly observed effect in this field of research, usually referred to as the "AI effect". Over time, things that seem routine are removed from the list of things that defines AI. To answer the question, yes, the technology exists and can be used, besides other means, to upscale video and/or improve picture quality. This is not the same, you can do one or the other or both. The results vary, but is is possible to create an output that looks (much) better than the input. |
