Kitties!!! We decided we were going to let Banjo (our almost house cat) have her kittens inside. She's still having them at the moment but there were 4 tiny little furry hot dogs in the bathroom at last check. We're leaving her alone for the most part, because she's doing well. Of course that means we aren't just tossing them all outside after this, so I guess we have a 3rd house cat now, and eventually kitties to give away. Yes, it's a pain in the ass but she's a good kitty that will be fixed after this is all over. I'll see if I can get better pictures (with my cheap phone with the 5MP camera on it) of the babies later when she eats.

...Now on the flip side of that, I went out to feed the strays this morning, including our former house cat who decided she wanted to be outside again. While I was loving her, I heard tiny hissing and turned around...
The 2 on each end were very spicy. So I picked each one of them up and loved them, while they hissed and let me know they were going to murder me. I need to make sure they'll stay in the area with me, because in about another month, they'll be old enough to spay/neuter, and since it's spring there are other kittens to go as well, in various weeks due to their age.

The outdoor kitties stay outdoors. They just get fed.
It's always bad during the spring. The local city animal shelter and several other no kill shelters are just drowning in cats and dogs. The city one won't even take a cat unless it's injured. I surrendered one with a really bad eye about 2 weeks ago, and they said they'd just remove the eye, stitch it up and "unique" animals like a one eyes cat or a 3 legged dog actually get adopted fairly quickly.

I'm looking for an older cat. One who is quite happy to just lollop around the house and sit on your lap at night, sleep on the bed and purr a lot. Lot of pets need rehoming now and im a real sucker for cats.
