The Master turned the time lords he previously murdered into Cybermen.
Which, doesn't make sense, since they should have been able to regenerate. In one of the Matt Smith era episodes, when they tried to take over the Doctor, it was mentioned he only had to regenerate to be rid of their influence.
And a few other odd things that don't make sense about their being turned Cyberlords are things that seemed to be ignored and/or forgotten.

The current writers are rubbish that ignore their own history and just make up whatever they want.

I think I recall (backwards in order) stories like this happening with the 11th, 7th, 6th & 2nd Doctor's.

Seriously. Who could forget the 11th Doctor storyline involving the dreaded (or is it "dreadful"?) "iDaleks" ?

I have a feeling the pandemic has screwed up schedules, but I can't seem to find anything regarding this show in particular.

I have read this:

According to producer Tracie Simpson, pre-production for the thirteenth series was set to begin in June 2020, with filming originally set for September 2020.

Filming eventually commenced in November 2020, and is set to run for ten months.

The production period will yield eight episodes, reduced from the previous eleven due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The series is set to premiere in 2021
