V&C Rule amendment HIDE TAGS

The use of hide tags. at one time, had the purpose of trying to curb DMCA take downs. Since that time we have not been bothered by these issues making them completely useless other than garnering thanks to boost reputation and forcing members to thank posts before being able to download links.
I may add that the ratio of thanks given to thanks received by those that use the tags are extremely disproportionate.
Therefore the use of these tags will be disallowed in this part of the forum immediately.

That being said, if you have legitimate reasons for using these tags you may contact one of the section mods to make your case.
If your posts contain hide tags that are not approved the post will be removed and a warning issued. If this continues you will receive an infraction and possibly temporary ban from posting.
