Procedure

Follow this process when dealing with posters who include multiple large images in a single post. Be sure to document any interactions, including all PMs sent or received, by posting them in the member's UNs. Additionally, please add the linked usernames of all posters with whom you have interacted in the list below; be sure to include the current "level" of interaction.

1. When you encounter a poster including multiple large images in a single post, send PM #1.

2. If a poster responds to PM #1 by asking why we have added these guidelines or how we can justify them in the absence of a specific rule, send PM #2 (TBD). Feel free to edit or alter PM #2 to tailor it to the poster's specific question(s).

3. If a poster continues to include multiple large images in single posts, send Warning #1 for "Ignoring Staff Instructions" (TBD). Remove all of the poster's new GP posts (made after you sent PM #1) that violate the image guidelines.

4. If a poster still continues to include multiple large images in single posts, send PM #3 (TBD). Remove all of the poster's new GP posts that violate the image guidelines, plus the poster's 20 most recent GP posts that also violate the rule.

5. If a poster still continues to include multiple large images in single posts, send PM #4 (TBD). Remove all of the poster's new GP posts that violate the image guidelines, plus the poster's 50 most recent GP posts regardless of whether they violate the guidelines.

6. If a poster still continues to include multiple large images in single posts (i.e. if they're stubborn beyond all reason), send PM #5 (TBD). Remove all of the poster's new GP posts that violate the image guidelines, and move the GP thread in which the posts were made to the Dead Section.

I haven't drafted most of these PMs yet; hopefully it won't be necessary to go past the Warning for anyone, but we will if necessary. In your discretion, you may decide to skip over step 4 or step 5 (but no both) in the case of a poster who responds abusively or makes it clear that he/she has no intention of complying.

If we do have to remove one or more of a poster's threads, we can always restore them if/when the poster demonstrates a willingness to comply with the guidelines.

In reviewing your General Porn thread, I noticed that many of your posts include multiple large images. This post is an example:

Rule 5a of Planetsuzy's Forum-Wide Posting Guidelines instructs posters to use thumbnails - small images that link to larger versions at the image host - rather than large, direct-linked images in their posts. As a result, video posts that include multiple large images will no longer be allowed in the General Porn and Virtual Reality / 3D Porn sections.

From now on, all General Porn and Virtual Reality / 3D Porn video posts may include:

1. No more than 1 large image, whether direct-linked from an image host or linked to an even larger image.

2. Up to 10 additional thumbnail images, each no larger than 300 pixels wide, that may be linked to large images at an image host. These thumbnail images must be arranged horizontally, by inserting a single space between the BB code for each image.

Examples of posts that comply with these guidelines can be found in this thread. You are not expected to follow the exact format of these posts; they are provided as examples of the allowed image sizes.

We are not asking you to go back and change your old posts; these guidelines apply only to new posts made from this point on.

We created these new guidelines because we noticed that a lot of General Porn posts were starting to include multiple very large images that are direct-linked to their image hosts. These kinds of posts are bad for several reasons:

Believe it or not, most users do not like them, because they find it hard to navigate through so many large images in order to find the file information and download links.
They take up a lot of space on Planetsuzy's servers relative to the actual content they contain.
The images are so large that Planetsuzy must resize them just to get them to fit within the site's page borders.
They are very time-consuming for staff to check and moderate because each post must be scrolled through individually.

It is for these reasons that Rule 5a of Planetsuzy's Forum-Wide Posting Guidelines instructs posters to use thumbnails rather than large images in their posts.

Although there is no specific rule on this issue in the General Porn section, Rule 15 of Planetsuzy's Forum-Wide Posting Guidelines allows staff to "move, remove, merge or edit your posts without notice, in our sole discretion". We generally use this authority only when it is necessary to prevent abusive or problematic posting, which we believe is the case in this situation.

We felt that it would be better to develop specific, universal guidelines to govern image sizes in video posts so that all General Porn posts will be held to the same standard. Otherwise, there is the possibility that different staff members would let some posts stand while other, similar posts were removed. A common standard is more fair for everyone.

I hope this helps you to understand why we added these guidelines and why we have the authority to do so. I realize that this change may create some inconveniences for you as you adapt to the new guidelines. I apologize for the necessity, and I appreciate your compliance.

I had to search the shit out of my subscriptions. Lol.

Edit: Suggestion for certain posters that use an image program (such as Photoshop) to stack and merge pictures to create monolithically long images. **This should probably be modified to fit each member's concerns/issues.

Please do not stack and merge large pictures to create one giant, long picture. It's needlessly redundant information and it makes for an annoyingly long/large post. You can use 1 large image (within the rules) to showcase the identity of the model(s) and then also use a smaller thumbnail collage to showcase the action. You might think information overload is better, but it's counter intuitive. Simple and minimalist is much better. Hitting people over the head with tons of huge pictures won't make them want to download your content more, in fact it might turn members away from your content.
