I just upgraded my iMac to Big Sur, and WinZip no longer works. The Internet reports that the developer is aware and working on an update, but in the meantime, and for RAR files that won't open with Apple's Unarchiver, can someone recommend a legit, free unpacker?

I'm not a Mac user, but found a program called iZip. More info here. (Check for OS version compatibility before downloading)

The reason why I am still running Mojave, is that subsequent OS' only support 64 bit applications, meaning that many classic apps that I rely on will not run on Big Sur.

I recommend all Mac users check their existing software before up grading their OS.

Thanks. iZip doesn't seem to work in the new OS, and the second link is for the native unarchiver which doesn't work on all Rar files.

The app The Unarchiver is available on the Mac app store and it works well under Big Sur.
