Best Online Backup For Pr0n!
I'm thinking of backing up my precious collection to one of the cloud storage companies like Carbonite or Mozy but can they be trusted and could I get in to any trouble by using them?
I mean do they check what is being uploaded and would I get stung for having copywrited or obscene material etc? Which company do you guys use? |

I don't use one so I can't help you there. Why online instead of your own 2nd HDD or external HDD? Is your home not safe that your stuff has to be kept offsite? And even if they have a privacy policy look at google which got caught harvesting information over Wi-Fi recently or Facebook which doesn't care at all for keeping people's online information private. It just seems the less info you put online the better. I once thought about online backup until I saw the cost.
Carbonite Fees (per month) Gigabytes Monthly Fee Up to 20GB $10 20GB - 49GB $25 50GB-99GB $50 100GB-149GB $75 150GB-199GB $100 200GB-299GB $150 300GB-499GB $250 HDD's are pretty cheap these days. You can get a 1TB HDD for around $100 or less. Even portable external HDD's are cheaper than that.

Yes I already have external HDD's but want the safety and convenience of having everything sitting in the cloud - and I can use it as an archive for older stuff etc .....
Plus it means no need to worry about people finding my collection! http://carbonite.com only charge $55 for unlimited backup and there are always discount coupon floating around ..... |

Sorry, the prices I put up were for Carbonite Pro which is apparently for small business use (how they are different I don't know). And for $55 unlimited one-year that isn't so bad.
BTW, how would they know you didn't obtain copyrighted material legally anyway. I'm pretty sure they don't care if you store "obscene" stuff either. I'm sure someone on this forum has used online backup before and will be able to tell you their experience.
