I saw Impact. Didn't really get into it. EC3 show opener video was intriguing and the main event tag title match was great but that was about it. Edwards is alright but feels like a Drew or Cody rip off to me. The every week defending champion thing, it's way too played out at this point. I know Drew currently doesn't but he's said as much in the past. If the only excitement I feel they can generate is bringing back oldies and new talent then isn't that basically the WWE go to. They feel like every other company on TV, except lack any real stand out stars. I was hoping they'd be different.

Kross vs Dijakovic is what I wanted to see between the two this Week. I liked the Rocky 4 tribute with Lee seeing his Brother in his sense in such pain and not being able to help him because Dijakovic told him not to. We saw that Kross is not just one tough fella, but one evil one as well at any time he could of finished his opponent and decided to further mentally torture Lee and physically torture Dijakovic with pleasure. Kross is putting bodies on IR and at this point I'm really confident in saying Lee is losing that NXT World Title. It might be early, but unless they have some special plan or a super Dq finish that works I don't know how you stop Kross's momentum at this point. Next Week Lumis vs Balor vs Thatcher bruh!

Kingston started off the Show trying to go with the Promo of the Year that me come to tears I know that life I've survived it. Kingston brought that different element to the Match and he worked damn well with Cody during that TNT Dog fight. I wanna see Kingston back again even not in a full Wrestler capacity he can be an asset to a team or a singles start with his words. I thought that Match was great, then we get The Young Bucks vs Blade & The Butcher killing it later. Since Allie left the group they have been a team I fucks with hard and it was good to see them do their thing vs The Bucks and entertain. A little off with Ivelisse vs Diamante they were thinking too much out there I felt. Still being in the AEW Women's Division is always a good thing. Cage/Starks vs Allin/Moxley feud give me that baby like right now did anyone see Starks footwear top class no doubt. The later stuff was solid too and now Sami is back with the Inner Circle should be a good Match with Jurassic Express and Cassidy next Week.

"Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon is apparently saying that WWE needs to create new stars.

It was noted that his belief in needing new stars is due to the fact that WrestleMania is over and several wrestlers are missing due to the pandemic and other reasons.

It’ll be interesting to see whether his belief actually comes through instead of pushing veteran stars."

The brand is the star. Until they drop that, fire 90% of the writers and get rid of the third hour then it'll still suck. I bet McIntyre is thrilled, isn't he essentially belittling him? They ruined Bray, Braun, Nakamura, Balor, Ambrose, Ricochet... bound to be some obvious ones I'm missing.

AEW is all I watch regularly nowadays. Even though I've been home more often because of the pandemic, I find Raw and Smackdown painful to sit through. It was crap because they wanted to do a horror skit and couldn't because of PG. It was set up to fail. Yet you've got a match where to win you got to rip an eye out. WTF.

I believe I haven't watched one Raw since Mania. I might watch the first one when the real crowd returns for the sake of it. I even forget SmackDown is on sometimes that show has been so removed. If they can't get a two hour show to be entertaining then why would I watch a three?

AEW has flaws to though. Let's be honest, they only cater to minorities. I think they had 1.4m rating at the start and then it slowly collapsed. That initial rating number was the extra we'll give this a chance folks and most of them left thinking it looked fake no doubt. Now it's smart fans who don't care it looks fake, pervs, wrestlers, some LGBT for Nyla and Sonny, and the obsessive, like that woman who is obsessed with Ambrose, she's probably watching. I just happened across her tumblr once and it was fucking weird lol. Oh and of course WWE because they haven't got one original idea.

Yeah I saw the clip of that "eye for an eye" match where Rey's "eye" is ripped out of the socket and it couldn't look any more fake. It looked like a tennis ball with some red paint on it. I think the swamp match could have been good despite being PG if they had more fighting in it. And at least have an alligator bite them or something. Censor it if you want, like back in the day when Jake's snake bit Macho Man's arm.

I hear you, but I also think AEW appeals in some way to all sorts of groups across the board. Like you mentioned, a lot of smarks and those other groups, but they always throw in a traditional match or two (like the Cody challenge series for example) where I think an old school fan would enjoy. I think a three generation family of wrestling fans could watch an AEW show together and every age bracket would find something to like. It would be all different things, but at least there would be some part of the show each would enjoy.

Impact was good this week. Wrestle House is actually funny. That Forbes/RVD thing was carny as fuck though, basically promised nudes from what I could grasp and then had a shitty amateur insert of a head swap followed by community theater level acting that made me wanna turn it off. I like Purr, her matches so far have stood out as always looking realistic to me.

Yea, where was that alli puppet in a bin thing they had in that Prophets match that one time when the Ninjas showed up. Could have used it in the swamp.

I somewhat marginalized the AEW audience lol, my bad. We'll never know. On reflection, talking about who the viewers are is kinda dumb in that aspect. I've gotten sick of hearing about it from the "experts" who just look at some random data, yet here I am blabbing about it myself. Hereby fuck the ratings! It only matters to those concerned with the show, doesn't matter to us.

Lame episode of Dynashite. Long match after long match, all felt the same, it got very tiring. Botches galore. Commentary was bad, lots of screw ups and JR sounded like he didn't want to be there half the time. Main event didn't save it.

Warhorse was over hyped. He's clearly a Warrior wannabe with some Macho in there. Felt like another guy on the roster. I felt absolutely zero excitement when Zack Ryder showed up. If it was Rusev, would have been better. I don't need empire jobber rejects. I'm more lenient with Impact as they can use some and they are more underground, whereas AEW are on TNT, it looks bad and they simply don't need more. Best bit was MJF but since when do all heels now tell the truth. I was agreeing with the guy. That dastardly MJF, telling the truth.

Impact was a better show this week. It had variety and the matches didn't go on forever and I'm looking more forward to that next week rather than AEW. Wow, didn't think that'd ever be the case.

And Orange Cassidy's new theme is shit. Doesn't fit his gimmick at all.
