I love PlanetSuzy, but I think the Search function could do with some improvements:

1. Allow searching of Three Letter Words. Since a lot of pornstars and models have three letter surnames it makes them hard to find quickly! I know this has mentioned before, however if the search was restricted to Titles Only hopefully this wouldnt increase the load too much?

2. Reduced Time Between Searches. Know it sounds fussy, but the 20 Second wait time does get really annoying when trying to find something specific and need to search repeatedly. 5 seconds would be much better.

I realise both these options increase the server load and know its possible to use Google instead but its not a very convenient or elegant solution in my opinion.

However I believe the forum has just been optimized and what if people who wanted these enhanced search features made a one off donation of say $10 to become a 'Premium Member'? Would encourage people to donate and help the forum develop too!

Just an idea!

Neither request is likely to be met.

Searches overload the servers.

Even if three letter word searches to limited to titles only? Also the suggested $10 donation for the privilege would perhaps help towards buying better servers! So it would cover itself. Also I imagine only around 10% of members would actually sign up to it, so might not have such a dramatic impact on server load.

It's not actually a server hardware issue. This version of VBulletin has a very inefficient search engine and that's why the load is so high when allowing 3 letter word searches.

The newer versions of VBulletin have a much better, more efficient new search engine so once they upgrade here (eventually) they will probably be able to allow 3 letter searches again. Just be patient and hang in there..
