If I bring in my own water, Take my own snacks, and pay Matinee; I can see a film for $4.50. However I think my local theater is doing a $5 film Tuesdays which includes Popcorn.

A $15.50 price tag in the U.S. seems pretty high.
Otherwise, for the usual $9-12, I don't understand peoples' complaints. You're not just paying for the movie; you're paying for the spectacle. Giant screen, speakers, and the theatre. It's not even that much. |
