Looking for Graphic software suggestions
Hello everyone -
I still do a lot of my drawing & artwork the old fashion way - with pencils and paper but I would like to move into computer software artwork. However, beyond Photoshop I don't really know the best software out there for that. The photo I've attached is from an artist I like - and I'm wondering what kind or kinds of software would I need to accomplish that style of artwork. So looking for some suggestions Many thanks! |

The best option for the type of elaborate, 3D images you posted would be AutoCAD, which is the standard for Architecture, Engineering, and Mechanical drawing. There are various specialised versions which offer specific design elements geared to the requirements of a particular field. For example you could get an AutoCAD that specialises in aeronautical design, and that would help you make drawings of airplanes.
If you are more into freehand sketching and want to make digital versions of your drawings or draw directly to your computer, Photoshop is more than enough once you add a Wacom Tablet. That would allow you draw on the tablet and it will appear in your on-screen canvas.

Thank you - great answer. I will check into both AutoCad and the Wacom tablet!
