WTF?!?

I just pulled up a link to dl a file of just over 2 gigs and the estimated time was over 21 hours! Started the dl anyway, hoping it was glitch and sure enough...ticker started at 23 hours plus.

Given your newbie status, I think the problem is rather more to do with the software you're using, the lack of appropriate referrer code appendices to the download link, the lack of VPN usage, lack of cookie clearing etc.

Downloading from any free file host really, but especially so K2S/TZ/FB is not a one-click, set and forget, easy downloading solution for free. Why would anyone expect it to be that? They're providing a service for free, in the hope that you will find it difficult and annoying enough to want to pay for it, so the hoops you must jump through are there to encourage you to pay for it.

There are largely automated ways around all the hoops to download for free at speed, but you're not going to learn them all overnight. It takes time and dedication to the hobby and interest. As a newbie, you haven't learnt them yet.

I have had no problem downloading multiple parallel files for free at 200kB/s from both FB/TEZ for the last couple of weeks (since they fixed the servers) and half that speed from K2S. I can assure you there is nothing wrong with the hosts. If you're getting poor speed/disconnected, it's because they can see you leaching (by the cookies+IP), you are not using the 'right' referrer code, you are not passing the Captchas (or using an AI bot to solve them automatically for you), or you're using a crap download manager (or no manager at all) that can't resume or download across multiple simultaneous connections. Suggest you fix all that first, before blaming the hosts.

Done that many times in here (probably too many by most opinions). Best that you look back in historial past posts for the answers to prevent unnecessary duplication.

Currently downloading 3 x K2S, 2 x TEZ, 2 x FB, 2 x FF, 2 x FJ at a combined 1.25MB/s from 4 different IP's. Based on that, I think the issues with the K2S/FB/TEZ servers are largely solved (for now). All via a 25/10Mbps VDSL2 connection
