Immortality?
So, how long would it last, anyway?
Would it be fun? |
Russian scientists reveal the secret of immortality - RT News

i assume it would coincide with life itself in a sense that it would be like yin & yang.
time to see everything, amass experiences, learn all there is to learn, watch the world & its contents grow while maintaining ur ever growing valuable wisdom. however ud know u were immortal & would have no value on life, watch all ur loved ones die over countless generations, become complacent, mentally fatigued, & suffer malaise every day. not to mention it wasnt stated in this hypothetical whether ud age or remain the age of ur choice or at the time u became immortal.. i mean it'd suck to be an immortal toddler or everlasting geriatric. |

Death is what keep humans connected to reality
Remove death, and life becomes an absolute nonsense, madness I see it as a security system, to prevent eternal tyrans and their 2 headed dogs with 6 legs |
Immortality wouldn't be too cool, IMHO. Eventually things would get boring.
A longer life span, on the other hand, would be much more interesting. Life goes by way too fuckin' quickly. It would be great to stay young a little longer, you know. By the time a person gains financial stability, you're already 30, maybe 40. And you will probably have kids, so it would be almost impossible to just sit down and chill out. * When you're young, you have the time and the energy, but no money. * When you're an adult, you have the money and the energy, but no time. * When you're old, you have the time and the money, but no energy. That sucks big time. |
I'd love to be immortal, just so long as I wouldn't age physically.
People always talk about wanting to live as long as possible, but I've seen the way bodies break down due to old age. You withdraw due to physical hindrances after a few short years. That's just no way to experience the world. Yeah, immortality might be boring, but the world changes with each new generation. I'm sure I could keep myself occupied. :D |

"There can be only one", for some reason ... I don't know what's worst All average guys becoming immortals with wallmart pills Or just one guy from some elite rulling group becoming immortal |
If people would never die, we should start to look for other planets to live, 'cause soon we would be too much for our mother Earth.

Let's say you're frozen at the age you are now, and you're the only immortal.
You'd get to see what happens in the future; the tech advances, space exploration, possibly alien species, and you'd get to see how it all turns out - what happens to the human race. Do we seed the universe with humanity and become citizens of the cosmos? Do we meet a species that doesn't like us and become snacks? |
